EARN DOUBLE GTA$ & RP PLAYING TWO NEW INCH BY INCH MAPS

The relentless intensity of Inch By Inch climbs another two notches today, with brand new maps available to play right now in GTA Online. You’ll be fighting tooth and nail amongst the muck and hay bales at the Grapeseed Cow Farm in Inch By Inch III, or setting up security checkpoints for low-flying bag carriers entering your end zone’s airspace at LSIA in Inch By Inch IV. Both of the new maps feature in the Double GTA$ & RP Playlist available to launch directly from GTAV boot screens all weekend until midnight on Sunday April 24th.

The Double GTA$ & RP Inch By Inch Playlist is just one of many bonuses and discounts live in GTA Online from today through to Thursday April 28th as part of High Life Week in GTA Online. It’s a buyer's market this week for the Los Santos real estate industry, with the most exclusive cribs available at 25% off for a limited time only. All Stilt Houses and Penthouses released with Executives & Other Criminals are discounted, as well as every single Garage property in Los Santos County and Blaine County. Whether you’re looking for a little pied-à-terre in the city, or a home away from home in the Rockford Hills, you deserve to rest your head in luxury.

50% OFF SELECT CLOTHING

Freshen up those threads and find some accessories befitting the life of a Portola Drive high-roller with 50% off select clothing in GTA Online. This includes all of the beautifully made Suits, Jackets, Pants and Shoes from the High Life Update and a range of accessories like chains and cuffs; in fact everything you need to dress for success. Head on over to Ponsonbys, Binco or Suburban, and let the world know you mean business.

50% OFF THE BULLPUP RIFLE

Whether you’ve splashed cash on a new property, outfit or sea-faring vessel, such finery is sure to attract greedy and jealous eyes who may look to get their piece of the pie. Rockstar Editor Powered Videos: "The Hunt", "GTA vs Predator", "Siren" & More

Posted 6 hours, 19 minutes ago | Author: R*N | Filed Under: Games

Rockstar Editor cinematic epics don't come more visually thrilling than in our latest fan-created video round-up; from the exploits of rogues and spies, to an episodic Mafioso family saga and a heady journey down Mount Chiliad via a GoPro-style view. Get ready for some excellently crafted narratives and visuals that tick all the filmmaking boxes.

'Siren' by ash0191

Giving some of moviedom's most infamous criminal duos a run for their money, ash0191's Siren and BloodLust180's Wolf weave a tale of crime, passion and betrayal. With an atmospheric soundtrack backing up some truly tense and explosive moments, the titular and enigmatic Siren shows off her skills and nerves, as the duo leave havoc in their wake. The cliff-hanger ending will have you champing at the bit for a sequel. This video combines footage from Xbox One and PC, enhanced with some creative usage of Story Mode mods and other clever techniques (kudos to Ash for meticulously recreating BloodLust180's character to a T in her second character slot and making use of elsewhat's Scene Director PC mod to make both actors appear side by side in Director Mode).

Also check out: M.I.A by BloodLust180 (where Ash returns the favor, playing a supporting role in BloodLust's taut short action film)

GTA vs Predator! (Rockstar Editor Cinematic) by Duggy

Duggy's cinematic epics continue to impress as Michael, Trevor and Franklin encounter an other-worldy force on a hunting trip. Using jdw7440's Predator mod and nnuu's Green Screen mod as a base, Duggy creates one of the most intense mashups seen to date.

'The Hunt' by OriFilmsGTA

Taking over 3 weeks to create, OriFilmsGTA's short film is a chilling thriller that is well worth the watch for those seeking '"tension, anxiety and a little fear". What begins as an innocent hunting trip on a sunny day for the film's protagonist descends into a menacing, frightening nightmare, when he accidentally witnesses a murder. Soon, the tables are turned and the hunter becomes the hunted. The twist at the end, with nature lending a helping hand, is a profound touch.

Mercoledi (Wednesday) by Wrinkly Blink Games

The family drama heightens in Wrinkly Blink Games' latest episode of a 7-part series and loving homage to classic Mafioso-themed films. Making use of the Albany Roosevelt, Be My Valentine's outfits, oh-so-familiar musical strings and a sepia lighting filter, the life of a "made man" gets a proper nostalgic treatment. Mercoledi is the 3rd episode in the installment so far, but be sure to catch up with previous chapters Lunedi (Monday) and Martedi (Tuesday) before the next episode.

GoPro Be A Hero by EK2

Going on a different tone and track is EK2's visually impressive short - seen from a 'GoPro' style view - of some "extreme downhill biking on Mount Chiliad". The upbeat soundtrack mixes perfectly with the stunning scenery around Mount Chiliad during sunrise, not to mention some seriously head-spinning views and cool bike tricks to boot.

BONUS VIDEO:

Grand Theft Auto Theme Cover (Joyride by Da Shootaz) by SquidPhysics

While this is obviously not a Rockstar Editor powered video, it's another amazing live-action clip from the talented SquidPhysics that we just had to share. Covering Da Shootaz' Joyride - the theme song from the very first Grand Theft Auto back in 1997 - SquidPhysics hits all the right notes, even pitch-shifting his voice to rap the verses. You can check out an ever-growing playlist of The One Man Orchestra's GTA Soundtrack covers here.

If you've been creating some serious Rockstar Editor visuals and would like to share it with the community, drop a link in the comments below or email us directly to give it a watch at mouthoff@rockstargames.com.

Rockstar Games Presents the Red Hook Criterium Brooklyn No.9

Posted 2 days, 7 hours ago | Author: R* Q | Filed Under: Rockstar

We are looking forward to kicking off the 2016 season of world-class racing with the Red Hook Crit Brooklyn No.9, this Saturday at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.

375 cyclists and 350 runners hailing from 48 countries are descending on Red Hook to participate in the annual 5k running race and feature bike races. We’re excited to see the familiar faces of elite veterans, as well as imposing newcomers, registered in the men’s and women’s start lists.

There are also exciting new changes to the racing format. This year’s start line introduces the “YVO Grid”, an arrow shaped starting grid where the fastest qualifier takes lone wolf pole position as the tip of the spear, while the remaining 94 racers are spread no more than 5 riders per row. The circuit itself has been shortened to 1.13km per lap, giving spectators an improved field of view, with a new double hairpin added in turns 2 and 3.

We’re also proud to bring back the Rockstar Award for Top Antagonist for both the men’s and women’s races, rewarding the athlete who without consideration for their final position most affects the outcome of the race through a combination of tactics, aggressiveness and strength.

For an in-depth look at the race details, athletes and more, check out the Official Strava Race Guide and for all things Red Hook Crit, visit redhookcrit.com or check them out on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Then there's AZcrAZydog from the Xbox One chapter of the reddit-based GTAAdventures Crew, who injected some aerial stunting and a raucous demolition derby into their Lowriders Meet before scaling Mount Chiliad in their Willard Faction Custom Donks.

ARTHOUSE CREWS

Beyond some of the pre-eminent and long-standing Snapmatic Crews such as Snapography and GTAPhotographers, we wanted to shine a light on some other Crews that have been pushing the creative boundaries of the medium from pure photography into something best described as "Snapmatic Art." Using Snapmatics as a source asset, these Crews take Snapmatics to the next level by applying creative photo editing, experimenting and innovating with in-game Meme Text, creating original images with bullets and even applying their own coloring techniques and illustration skills to existing photos.

Presenting two particularly prolific arthouse collective Crews whose members inspire and innovate day in and day out:

The Magnificent Team

Referring to themselves as an "exclusive Snapmatic movement," The Magnificent Team have attracted the likes of prestigious Snapographers Basimatic, Sariska and FirewoodDog,meme art manipulator xX19scorpius83Xx and bullet art maestro aizakkusan to their ranks. With a booming community on Twitter and Instagram, a special congratulations goes out to TMGT (and their fearless leader empiretimes aka Snaplord_TMT) as they recently celebrated their one-year anniversary. Here’s just a scant bit of some of the talent among their 100+ member roster.

xX19scorpius83Xx makes clever use of filters and layering techniques to create stunning scenes and an amusing hand-drawn self-portrait in the Meme Text editor.

An unconventional marksman, aizakkusan's amazing work with bullets involves carving out everything from familiar faces to pop icons, and even a spot on recreation of their affiliate Crew Visual Moods Central's emblem.

TMGT member Basimatic is an accomplished Snapmatic photographer, Rockstar Editor and much more – here, she camped out and photographed the same vista across several times of day and night to display a stunning color palette along the LS skyline. You’re going to want to follow her on Twitter to keep up with the amazing things she shares every day.

CREATIVE R6 INC

Another artistic collective impressing on a daily basis is mitar0su's CREATIVE R6 INC, housing incredible talents such as ryophotolicWolf_Gang776, and ARIBABABAN. From 3D GIFs to stylized, cel-shaded style Snapmatics, RSIX's Crew Members are constantly looking to push the envelope.

You can find more eye-catching work like this on ryophotolic's official Twitter account, and additional artwork and snaps at #creativeR6inc.

Yu-nosuke aka TeamGoliath_RP applied some eye-catching filters on this shot showing off the new Compact Rifle that makes for the look of a fully sketched color pencil drawing.

Gorgeous and creative car photography is also a specialty; enjoy this stunning play on the color spectrum in this piece by R6 member mitar0su

REBL ONE YEAR CREW ANNIVERSARY

Another prominent Crew celebrating their one-year is REBL PC. These guys have consistently impressed with fun presentations like their REBL - GTA Yacht Parties and REBL - The Lowriders. In this Crew video, the REBLs have an absolute free-for-all blast, engaging in a massive Karin Rebel demolition derby and shooting fireworks from the top of the Rebel Radio station to celebrate their first anniversary in true REBL style.

CREW TOURNAMENT UNDERWAY: DETESTED FOUR BRACKET

CHEEkSx0x0 of the battle Crew Detested reached out recently to let us know they are hosting a Free Aim (PS4) tournament, and have been working exhaustively to put together elite Crews for the first round such as ineffable arts, CAP PILLAS, Cureless Aim and the Temple Drive Ballas. Tournament rounds will be routinely streamed on the BAETRED | RED7 YouTube channel, along with highlights of best moments. Upcoming Crew brackets are posted in the video description here. Contact PreciousYvette @ kik or yv.xo Baetred @ kik .babez for further details.

Round 1 Results: In the first round, 7DeadlyGlobalHiTaz took a narrow, one-kill lead against The Classic Crew, but DOPE turned it around considerably in the second round to take the match win. Cureless Aim soundly trounced The Damned Brotherhood in the initial round, but faced a disqualification for breaking agreed-upon tournament rules. Finally, the Temple Drive Ballas squared off against Baggy Nation, squashing and shutting down their opponents in both rounds for an uncontestable win.

GTA Online Game Tips: Sumo, Rhino Hunt & Drop Zone

Posted 2 weeks, 3 days ago | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Games

Sumo-style derbies have long been a GTA Online fan favorite, with many Community creators taking it upon themselves to create their own interpretation of the heavyweight sport. Now, we’ve added a bit of method to the madness with the introduction of Sumo, one of our latest Adversary Modes. And the recently released Rhino Hunt introduces some new and fun challenges for those who truly enjoy the thrill of the hunt, while Drop Zone features teams airdropping to battle over a contested area. Whether you’re a big game hunter seeking out a well-armored challenger, a mighty behemoth crushing your adversaries via tank tread, or a vengeful skydiver looking to rain down death from above – we’ve put together the latest series of tips to help you establish dominance in the wild kingdom otherwise known as Los Santos. Take note especially of the Rhino Hunt tips today, as they'll certainly come in handy as you capitalize on today's Double GTA$ and Double RP Adversary Mode Playlist.

Using reverse and sharply turning can trick your opponent into driving out of the area completely.

Sumo

While the sport of Sumo is typically a mano-a-mano match up, this Adversary Mode is all about how you perform, not only solo, but as a team (depending on which variation you find yourself playing). In either case, you must first choose your vehicle carefully: each has its advantages and weaknesses. Large, heavy vehicles have ramming power, but their higher center of gravity may leave them more vulnerable to being scooped by vehicles with a low hood. Smaller cars are more easily able to squeeze out of tight spots, but can be overwhelmed.

If you're playing on a team, you may choose a combination of vehicles. You could use the smaller, quicker vehicles to lure opponents to the edge of the map before more robust teammates deliver the killer blow. You may often see two cars deadlocked against each other in a war of attrition; supporting your teammate with a nudge from behind can tip the scales, but runs the risk of seeing them go over the edge as well as your enemy. Of course, if you have the players to spare, sacrificing a team mate could be the smart decision. If you’ve found yourself in one of these face-to-face (or bumper-to-bumper) pushing matches – using reverse and sharply turning can trick your opponent into driving out of the area completely. Alternatively, if you’re determined to win the push war, remember to properly manage your power; coming off the throttle ever so slightly to allow your tires to find traction provides much more pushing power than going pedal-to-the-metal and wheel spinning.

Sacrificing a team mate can be a clever way of taking out an opponent if you have the players to spare.

  • If you're playing solo, don’t always drive at full speed when trying to push your opponent out. Vehicles in Sumo have the handbrake disabled, so it takes a lot longer to stop your charge if you miss them. Try to think strategically instead of relying strictly on brute force; watch your opponent's patterns of movement so that you can anticipate where they are headed next. By the same token, try to be unpredictable!

  • Make use of the terrain around you; some parts of the arena will see more casualties than others. Establish the safest point in the arena and keep close to it to stay out of trouble. On larger maps, the center of the area is best to reduce your chances of being knocked off.

  • If it’s looking like a stalemate, there is a sudden death area that will appear after normal game time. Try to control the center of the play area as quickly as possible, as the area will become smaller and smaller as time ticks down. Last player left in the center wins!

Rhino Hunt

As the nimble Hunters, your lives are dispensable but your time to bring down your prey is limited. The lumbering Rhinos are afforded no such luxury, as they are granted a single life to survive the duration of the 3 minute round. Powerful, but slow to aim and maneuver, savvy Hunters will use their superior speed to get around the Rhino's cannons in a nuanced dance of death and destruction.

The Rhino will suffer a greater amount of damage when attacked from behind.

MESS WITH THE BULL - Hunter Tips

  • Depending on Sticky Bomb placement, Rhinos can be destroyed with 7 to 10 well thrown detonations. The Rhinos take more structural damage from the rear so exhibit patience when aiming if you have the time and the means to land a calculated shot.

  • Hunters have strength in numbers, so use this to your advantage. Coordinate your attacks to come from all directions; someone is bound to breach the Rhino's defenses and hit the target. Sacrifice equals victory.

  • To the point above: the Rhinos have strict area bounds, but the Hunters don't. Consider taking the scenic route to surprise them.

  • Sticky Bombs can be detonated at any time (as long as you're alive); consider luring the Rhino into a trap or placing down Sticky Bombs in high traffic areas ahead of time.

  • Similar to Adversary Mode Come Out To Play, make sure to cut off your lights when playing at night, as the Rhinos will have more trouble getting a bead on you in the darkness.

  • Hunters, use your environment to your advantage: make full use of obstacles and small structures in order to hinder the Rhinos or better, to get them hung up and stuck, making them stationary targets.

  • Multiple Sticky Bombs can be placed and detonated at once, so a Hunter can deal massive amounts of damage to a Rhino with one detonation, given the chance. Load one of your fellow Hunters up with Sticky Bombs and send them kamikaze-style towards the target.

Holding your ground and digging in with a fellow Rhino may be your best bet when squaring off against multiple enemies.

YOU GET THE HORNS - Rhino Tips

  • When there are two Rhinos (six or more players in the mode), you need to work in tandem to cover a wider firing area. This can be carried out as a two man patrol in a set area, where both Rhino drivers circle about looking for prospective targets, or you can take the opposite approach and fortify your position by parking side-by-side and covering each other's backs. The latter approach requires a bit of trust in your partner's aiming abilities to ensure victory.

  • Want to play as the Rhino in the next round? Make sure that you deal the killing blow and the victorious Hunter will become the Hunted.

  • The Rhino doesn't merely have a cannon as its only means of defense; try running over your opponents if you're cornered. You can also use the ramps in the play area to gain a momentary aerial advantage. A Rhino launching off a ramp and crashing down is not something a Hunter wants to see above them. That said, you can sustain damage from direct vehicle impacts or explosions, so be cautious when your vehicle damage bar is low.

  • Be constantly on guard, checking all sides as the Hunters will be trying to approach you from every angle. Staying out in the open gives you a full 360 degree view but backing against a wall or into an enclosure funnels the Hunters into a guaranteed approach, putting them at a disadvantage.

  • Beware of going out of bounds, as you will only have 15 seconds to return to the battlefield.

  • If you are riding solo, don't get cornered or remain stationary, staying mobile makes you a tougher target to hit.

Drop Zone

If incoming enemy paratroopers are too far away to shoot, aim for their canopy to send them off course.

Adrenaline junkies will enjoy one of our faster-paced Adversary Modes, Drop Zone. Barrel through the air at top speed with your team towards the demarcated area and lock it down for as long as you can.

  • While holding down the fort, keep on the move as a strategically placed Sniper bullet to the head could be just around the corner.

  • Although your bar increases quicker if you have more team members inside the smoke, there are plenty of tactical opportunities to be had by staying just out of sight with a long-range weapon so you can better provide cover fire and draw away the enemy from your team.

  • To the point above, this also enables you to cover for fallen comrades and make a dash for the smoke, to keep the bar filling whilst waiting for their return to the battlefield.

  • You'll be taking a lot of hits when you're out in the open, so make strategic runs to pick up health and armor in between attacks.

  • Players within the zone can also stave off incoming enemies by shooting their Parachutes and thus turning them around or pushing them away from their intended target.

  • For those unlucky enough to have their chute gunned down, quickly detach and open your reserve to save you time trying to run back to the area.
