Snapmatic Winners and More: The GTA Online Flight School Event Recap

Posted 2 weeks ago | Author: R* Q | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

Check out this GTA Online Flight School Event Session video we posted to YouTube earlier today, featuring the "Crosswind" and "GTA: Airheads" Jobs, played here with community members Karpeh, Smoowv, RadicalSpirit and AlexSniperBullet.

Intrepid pilots and Coquette sportifs took to the skies and roadways during the recent San Andreas Flight School Event, soaking up the Event Playlist Double GTA$ and RP and reaping all the other in-game rewards while they lasted. Read on for an Event recap highlighting some of the standout videos posted of the weekend action, plus the official #FLIGHTSCHOOL Snapmatic contest selections, winners of the gear giveaway and more.

As is tradition, the Event officially started with the official Event livestream hosted by Lazlow and the Rockstar Broadcast team (ICYMI: full stream archive). After warming up in a GTA community lobby playing through some of the new Flight School Jobs alongside Karpeh, Smoowv, RadicalSpirit and AlexSniperBullet – we got on to the main event: Rockstar versus Little & Cubed.

Nerdcubed's official YouTube video from the Rockstar VS Little & Cubed 2v2 Flight School battle.

We’ve been fans of Little & Cubed for quite a while now, loving the inventive and super fun 1v1 challenges that Dan NerdCubed whips up with the Creator tool and challenges his sparring partner Martyn Littlewood to. Considering the classic flight oriented ones they’ve done in the past (“Dump Jump!”, “Capture the Case”), we had a feeling that given the challenge of putting together some 2v2 Jobs with the new aviation toys from the Flight School Update – some serious madness could be afoot. Little & Cubed did not disappoint. In just about two days flat, Dan NerdCubed cooked up some devilishly fun 2v2s to challenge us with. Watch “Crossjoust” and “Game of Thrills II” above – the first in a new ongoing series of GTA Online Sessions videos we’re going to be posting regularly to the Rockstar YouTube channel (make sure you’re subscribed there so that you don’t miss a one) – and below is a list and description of all 8 original Nerdcubed Flight School Jobs so that you can bookmark and play them yourself with 3 of your best frienemies. Please note that as Dan N3 is a PS3 guy, his Jobs are currently only available to play on that platform, however they’re brilliant in their simplicity of construction so industrious Xbox 360 players should be able to easily re-create them using the Creator Tool as well (give a shout in comments if you’ve got a variation on XBL that the community should check out):

  • Crossjoust” – The Los Santos downtown financial district has been closed down to accommodate a 4-way intersection ‘crossjoust’ with opposing ramps, SMGs and Coquette Classics. ‘Backs to the wall. 3… 2… 1… Mayhem.’ Best played with headsets or via Skype so that one player can lead the synchronized jousting countdown.
  • Game of Thrills II” – A modified Capture where one drop wins it all. Take off in P-996s and fly to the military base to try and steal and pilot the coveted Miljet FTW. Players spawn at the mid-way point and can either defend or capture; Dan’s TLDR: ‘Steal plane. Shoot other planes’.
  • CanyonAero” – Jets versus Coquettes in a classic bit of cat and mouse. One team races down Raton Canyon in the Coquette Classic, the other team uses jets to try and blow them up on route. Switch roles at the 5 minute mark to let the hunter become the hunted.
  • Any Landing You Walk From” – Take turns trying to land the Besra down the Sandy Shores Airfield runway between perfectly arranged fuel tanks without blowing them up. Clip the tank and she’s gonna go boom.
  • Big Bridge. Big Plane” – A Race where you must thread the needle of the La Puerta Freeway Bridge to and fro in the massive MilJet – and the first checkpoint’s “a bit of a doozy.
  • To Infinity” – Besras weave around the Los Santos skyscrapers in a super tight Air Race to test your ace piloting skills.
  • Plane Sailing” – Stealing a Besra from the military and delivering it to a nearby drop point… is more difficult than one would think.
  • Chill Lad” – The Coquette Classic is probably not the ideal vehicle for climbing and descending Mount Chiliad. Find out why – the hard way – in this Land Race.

Wickedly good fun, huge thanks to Dan and Martyn for putting these Jobs together and joining us on the livestream – and to see more footage of us playing these 2v2s with Little & Cubed make sure you sub to Rockstar Games, Official NerdCubed, and InTheLittleWood on YouTube. Below is Martyn's latest video from the 2v2 battle just posted yesterday showing his perspective during “Plane Sailing” – watch parts 1, 2 and 3 showing other Jobs listed above at his channel as well:

And now without further ado – here are the winners of the #FlightSchool Snapmatic contest, which include a trio of stylish shots featuring the new Besra, an historical homage and a salute to explosive special effects.

The profilic AlexSniperBullet brings us this tribute to legendary female aviator Amelia Earhart. Congrats to Alex for his very first winning photo entry after being the bridesmaid in several honorable mentions in past Events.

A stunning sun-drenched shot of the new Besra and both variations of the Invetero Coquette Classic, compliments of returning champion ZazDillinger.

Cue "epic walking away from massive explosion"... and, action! From fktnk_95

sicaro12 gives the Besra's undercarriage a quick spritz, thanks to some low level flying at Cassidy Creek.

And by popular demand, here’s just a few honorable mentions that caught our eye as well:
• ‘Flight School’ looks as if lulaman300 snapped it directly from the trailer, great composition and use of the Meme Creator tool.
• Flight School Lesson #3 – ‘that big red button is NOT a turbo boost’. By Nemosphene.
• Calling for an impeccably outfitted Flight Suit, positioned vehicles, and two perfectly timed jets overhead are a couple spot-on Flight School artwork recreations by McGoooo420 and SilverFox1.
• Coquette pr0n – two gorgeous shots by chocolate_001 that look Invetero sponsorship-worthy
• “My first lesson in Flight School be like” – by Kralikus
•  Giving new meaning to ‘striking a runway pose’ - damn near a full lobby from Spain’s 3DJU were put to work in this epic LSIA Flight Crew selfie by caskillo. Also watch the making-of on YouTube.

Congratulations are also in order to the 20 winners of the Event Weekend Gear Giveaway who all scored Deluxe Prize Packs with a wardrobe of Rockstar and GTAV official t-shirts including the Republican Space Rangers Tee, Trevor Philips Industries Tee, Epsilon Program KIFFLOM! Tee and more. Winners we've already confirmed include Versus_Graphic, Checo---366, Aro247, visual619, Reclaimer_VII, ActaNonVerbaNLMrLiteraLOL, 32RuGGedTalk2Yuh, BIGFOOTSPENE, jsmith3000, huragok007webby1990, and UnboundSpirit.

Also keep your eyes peeled for the winners of the #FlightSchool Air Race Creator Contest to be announced in an upcoming edition of Rockstar Verified Jobs; we’re actively reviewing and playing entries as we speak. Look forward to that as well as news on forthcoming GTA Online updates in the weeks ahead.

GTA Online Creator Throwback Jobs: Red Dead Tribute Special

Posted 2 weeks, 1 day ago | Author: R* K | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

We've already seen some great nostalgic fan-Created GTA Online Jobs made in tribute to classic Rockstar titles and favorite missions from the GTA series. Today, we're heading back to the Old West with ones themed around the tale of John Marston's struggle to escape his past, 2010's Red Dead Redemption. Read on for a brief description of each Job, and if you'd like to add it to your game just click on the title link and select "Add to Game" to bookmark it for your next GTA Online session.

Red Dead Redemption by LordSando (Xbox 360)

As long as you’re willing to overlook the occasional shipping container (think of them as abandoned railway cars), you could easily slip back in time and be convinced you've been transported to the Old West in this Deathmatch set around the dusty confines of the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness. There's a back-to-basics feel to the restrained placement of Pistols, Sawn-Offs and Molotovs here and the varied elevation of the setting, paired with the generous cover, make for a well-balanced and tactical Deathmatch. Plus the opening standoff, with each team starting out facing each other, nicely approximates Red Dead's last-man-standing style Duels.

 Marston's Ranch by TheMckeever (PS3)

With the haze of New Austin far off in the distance, this rural retreat that’s reminiscent of Beecher's Hope is a great setting for a well-pitched Deathmatch. Pistols are the order of the day but, if you look hard enough, you may very well find a Sawn-Off or a Grenade to mix things up. Unless the Wright Brothers took an undocumented trip cross country, we're not sure if the Duster is completely on-theme... but we'll let that slide.

Tesoro Azul by JaseTheChase (Xbox 360)

"Do you long for the days when Deadeye was king and the only thing between you and death was the speed of your draw with a Double-Action Revolver?" reads the description for this GTA Online take on Red Dead multiplayer mode "Hold Your Own", which has racked up over 600 plays at the time of this writing. JaseTheChase has used shipping containers and other Props to create a faithful replica of Tesoru Azul, one of the hideout locations in Nuevo Paraiso. The aim here is simple: grab the opposing team's bag and take it back to your base. Weapons are locked to Pistols but you can also find some Molotovs scattered around for fiery fun.

Red Dead Race by Zidane (PS3)

These steeds might not eat straw but this Sanchez Point-to-Point Race across the Grand Senora Desert, compliments of a long time member of the GTAGaming gang (and a Commissioner in the GTAGaming Crew), takes us back to playing Red Dead's Grand Prix. It's all here - weaving through cacti, cutting through brush and speeding along the rail track - albeit with a different kind of horsepower involved.

RED DEAD by ScarfacexD16 (Xbox 360)

This Team Deathmatch takes place at the old sawmill and surrounding valleys located at the foot of Mount Chiliad and Mount Gordo. It features a good range of cover and elevation for a back-to-basics, Pistols-only shootout. Just beware of taking cover close to the gas tank at the back of the house. There's something a bit more combustible than manure inside...

 Red Dead by ElusiveBlk202 (PS3)

Another Deathmatch commencing with a close proximity Red Dead-style duel, but this time starting ammo is restricted so you really need to make every shot in the chamber count. From there it all goes down in an enclosed space surrounded by train carriages and removed from the modern trappings of civilization. Rocks are your cover and bushes your hiding spots, with a raised area in the center providing some great coming together moments.

Tall Trees by adeadzombiebones (Xbox 360)

The mountainous and wooded Tall Trees area of West Elizabeth is a popular hunting ground in Red Dead and this GTA Online Job, set in Raton Canyon, substitutes Pistols and Shotgun skirmishes for skinning bearhides. Expect many tense shootouts as players make the most of the ample cover provided by the forest.

GRAB THE BAG by BigSo786 (PS3)

Grab the Bag is one of Red Dead's best-loved multiplayer modes and this GTA Online version by BigSo786 is a fitting tribute. The central bags, protected at the beginning by potent Actors, and the small playing area make for an intense start as all four teams converge. Once things spread out, varied elevation and a good spread of weapon pickups offer scope to mix up your tactical approach.

If you've spotted or created an epic GTA Online Job themed around one of our games, a certain mission or even your favorite movie, be sure to tag it #throwback on Social Club and drop us a link either here in the comments or via Mouthoff, so we can check it out.

10 New Rockstar Verified Jobs: Close-Quarters Confrontation, Pure Racing and Major Props

Posted 4 weeks ago | Author: R* Q | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

Today, we've added 10 new player-created GTA Online Jobs that have earned a place in the roster of Rockstar Verified selections available for everyone on both platforms to enjoy. This batch includes technical Races designed to please speed junkies, Capture Jobs that take Prop placement to the next level and a pair of Deathmatches with plenty of opportunities for imaginative carnage.

Read on below for descriptions of all these new Verified Jobs and be sure to click on each one's title to add a bookmark for your next play-session via Social Club. Keep your eyes peeled for more Rockstar Verified Jobs coming soon, including the chosen picks from this past weekend's San Andreas Flight School Event Weekend Creator Competition.

Racers dash through the shipping container slalom in Code 13-91.

 Code 13-91 - created by XXChaosiumXX91
For the technical racer that has a penchant for theatrics, this long loop circuit takes place in the heart of Downtown and mixes high speed straights and slalom sections with lots of jumps. Checkpoints become chokepoints as racers weave through well-placed shipping containers and try to muster enough getaway speed to make the next jump - especially when played with a full field of 16 players. This is definitely a Race where it pays to get ahead and stay there, but there are enough hazards and difficult sections to ensure no-one is ever going to get too comfortable.

Urban Jungle - created by Siditrationer123
The single-story houses and yards of South Los Santos are the stage for this close-quarters Team Deathmatch. Rooftops are accessible and allow sneaky players the opportunity to drop down on unsuspecting foes and administer a lethal shotgun blast or melee kill. The map is also bisected by an alley that's been decorated with mixed props to provide cover for players who are brave enough to run end to end. Try exploring vertical space to gain a natural advantage or to sneak around the back of the opposing team.

A pack of cars round the corner in Rebel Rodeo.

Rebel Rodeo - created by MANNAMEDMACHINE
Drawing inspiration from Ken Block’s Gymkhana series, MANNAMEDMACHINE's creation is one of those Races that's more likely to be decided by what you do with the brake pedal than the accelerator. Skill trumps speed as you slalom, 180 and skid your way around Redwood Lights Track and the surrounding areas of the Grand Senora Desert. We recommend trying this with Non-Contact applied, so you can focus on your own car control and not your opponents' (or their lack thereof).

Brand's Snatch - created by Seekrit Chimp
The Rockstar Verified collection already features Races inspired by places like Nurburgring, Monaco and Laguna Seca, and this take on the UK's Brand's Hatch circuit continues the trend for recreating famous real world tracks within the confines of Southern San Andreas. Accordingly, this is a high speed Lap Race that separates those who know when to ease off the gas from the drivers who think that driving fast is only about putting your foot down. The roads are wide, so make sure you stick to the racing line, and the Checkpoints are neatly placed so you can focus purely on those apexes. Go with Super or Sports classes and be sure to accelerate out of the chicanes.

Utilizing air support to retrieve the Capture objects in Hold: Operation Interrupt.

Hold: Operation Interrupt - created by SoWhack
"A joint operation comprised of the FIB and local PD has just resulted in several bags of drugs being seized in Paleto Bay," reads the description for Operation Interrupt, setting the scene for a standoff in the sand between two teams trying to retrieve the Capture Objects and the heavily-armed Actors there to stop them. Once the bags are in your territory, prepare to fight hard to protect them - or make a foray into enemy territory to steal their stash - all while police cars squeal up and down a narrow stretch of highway running through a busy trucking lane.

Hit The Apex - created by ZigMeister666
This expansive Lap Race has it all - carefully placed Checkpoints, helpful Props guiding you in the right direction and spectacular views of the Vinewood Sign, Lake Vinewood and Downtown. "Nothing beats the thrill of throwing a fast car around corners at high speeds," reads the description and the default Carbonizzare is certainly a fine choice for sliding down the Vinewood Hills.

The Rail Yard, Railed Out Deathmatch, created by Periphery's Jake Bowen.

Rail Yard, Railed Out - created by Jakeperiphery
Regular viewers of the Rockstar Games Twitch channel may remember this Job from our July 11th live stream, created by guitarist slash devoted GTA Online player, Jake Bowen from prog-metal band Periphery. Jake has added props sparingly to maintain the exposed, dangerous middle ground of the train yards, while teams spawn at either end. Stay close to your Crew and resist the urge to hammer the sprint button along the trainyards, as a stealthy approach will yield kills on unsuspecting foes crossing the tracks. Those with a steady aim might want to head to the rooftop, grab the Sniper Rifle and pick off anyone attempting to dash between cover spots.

That's What She Said - created by Kalweiser
We've found the foundries and tankers of Elysian Island are a relatively underused setting so far among GTA Online creations, so this Race for Sports Cars feels fresh right from the starting grid. A visual theme of decay runs through the course with broken down train carriages, gas cylinders and other industrial detritus littering the trackside. Look out for smaller jumps in and out of the dockyards, a tricky section to enter and exit the train tracks and the final huge leap from the freeway back to the finishing line. And if you enjoy this, have a look through Kalweiser's 67 other Jobs for some more gems.

Opposing teams vie for the contested bag in Raid: Claustrophobia.

Raid: Claustrophobia - created by DezeWevos
Like the title suggests, this symmetrical arena is a very claustrophobic environment where death is never far away. The near-perfect prop placement also makes this one of the best arena-style Captures we’ve seen so far. If you've got some personal beef that you need to settle, it works very well for 1v1 grudge matches as well. Combat rolls from cover are key to getting the jump on your enemy, and two or three successive kills are necessary to grab a bag and make it back to your base safely. Extra ammo is always close at hand, but health pickups require you to expose yourself on top of the obstacles. Take a breath and try to second-guess your opponent's next move to make sure that you're the cat and not the mouse.

Tittie Twister - created by xHumbleRx
A dual test of your endurance and your vehicle's suspension, this Race clocks in at over four miles and features huge jump opportunities off cliff faces that tend to thin out the leading pack. The Sanchez is a wise choice here, with its mixture of climbing ability and agility, but be careful not to stack it on the landings.

Please note that in addition to occasionally changing Job names due to taste, copyright or other reasons - we also from time to time will make other small edits to players' Jobs before making them Rockstar Verified. This includes, but is not limited to modifying spawn points, improving checkpoints or increasing/decreasing the amount of weapon picks ups for a particular Job. Once Jobs are Rockstar Verified, they become available for play across both platforms, so whether you're on Xbox 360 or PS3, you'll have all these newly Verified creations available in your next Freemode session (you can also bookmark them at the Social Club for easy access in your next session).

Go ahead and post your Job below in the comments (only once, please don't spam) with a punchy explanation of why it's worth checking out. We're always looking for new player-created Jobs to add to the Rockstar Verified program and the best way to get noticed is to have a solid Race or Deathmatch that's been thoroughly tested by the community and refined into the most fun and fair experience it can be.

Crew Cut: A Crew that Hand-Delivers IRL License Plates, Plus F.C.-Themed Squads and More

Posted on August 11 2014, 11:18am | Author: R* L | Filed Under: Social Club, Rockstar, Games

In this latest edition of the Crew Cut, we take note of an exceptionally tight-knit Crew who’ve developed some real friendships by virtue of their GTA Online brotherhood, as well as some 1,000 member Crews bound together by their love for their local Football Club, plus the latest Crews on Film standout videos and more.

HILLBILLIES WITH HEART

Good chemistry in a Crew is essential. The better connected a clique is, the better they'll be out in the trenches of TDMs and Captures – or even watching each others’ backs in the sometimes mean streets of Freemode. Formed last September 17th, the Hillbilly Agenda (HBAG) Crew are probably as genuinely close knit as you can get. Each week, Leader KnoxNerd sends an encouraging email to HBAG's other sixteen members. Within each correspondence comes a stat sheet (like the one above) that includes current and previous Ranks and hours played, total RP and more - a great source of motivation to push one another towards excellence.

Then there's the matter of the custom license plates KnoxNerd had commissioned to match those from Los Santos Customs, his of which was just featured in our most recent fan pics gallery. Knox wrote in to tell us the recent story of when Tennessee resident j0hnnykn0x was attending a wedding in California a few hours away from where fellow Lieutenant BRAWNSON lives, j0hnny jumped in his car and raced down those proverbial Blaine County freeways to personally deliver his plate it to him. And despite living all the way in Norway, there are plans for HBAG Commissioner AcemanNOR to receive his Crew plate hand-delivered by KnoxNerd (also a Tennessean) later this year.

Truly incredible team spirit best summarized by this photo montage KnoxNerd sent our way:

F.C.s INVADE THE S.C.

With all the great subplots and action of this year's recent World Cup, it seems plenty of Los Santos residents have shown their allegiance to their favorite local footie teams via the Crews of Social Club. Here's a spolight on a few Crews dedicated to their teams that have either maxed out their 1,000-person roster or are well on their way. If you’re a fan of any of these FC’s, you may want to request an invite before it’s too late.

Paris Saint-Germain F.C., the French Club that just won their second consecutive and fourth total Ligue 1 championship, are the inspiration behind the Paris Saint-Germain (0PSG) Crew. Founded last August just after the start of the season, 0PSG are particularly proficient at Racing. Currently ranked 172nd in GTA Races (1,411 Wins), 246th in Rally Races (64 Wins/77 Matches) and 372nd in Races (8,220 Wins/14,868 Matches), 0PSG are helped by the likes of Brahimax93_Csl, who leads the squad in Races (337 Wins) and is second in GTA Races (73 Wins/1.40 K/D Ratio).

Two Argentinian Crews are also showing their footie love. Paying tribute to the Primera División league's Club Atlético River Plate are the CA River Plate (CARP) Crew. Racing seems to be CARP's primary strength, ranking 122nd in GTA Races (1,604 Wins/2,929 Matches), 173rd in Races (10,767 Wins/18,689 Matches) and 361st in Rally Races. Multitalented, CARP are also ranked 151st in Tennis (1,246 Wins/6,364 Points). Club Atlético Boca Juniors, 30-time winner of the Primera División, inspired the Boca Juniors (CABJ) Crew. Also solid at Tennis with a rank of 180th (1,005 Wins/5,441 Points), CABJ are also respectable racers across the board. In addition to ranking 265th in GTA Races (1,231 Wins/2,180 Matches), they rank 313th in Races (8,759 Wins/15,415 Matches), 498th in Rally Races (47 Wins/61 Matches) and 610th in Non-Contact Races (257 Wins/563 Matches).

Two other Tennis-savvy Crews both show their love for Manchester clubs. The Manchester City Crew (MCFC) are sitting at 22nd on the Tennis charts with 799 Wins/4,063 Points. Non-Contact Racing is also a talent, as MCFC's 284 Wins/460 Matches have earned them a rank of 479th. Despite everyone's respective tennis prowess, no other footie-centric Crew can seemingly match the Manchester United FC (MUFC) Crew on the courts, as they're ranked 127th with 1,223 wins and 6,462 points.

With 18 League titles, five European Cups and much more, Liverpool F.C. have won more European trophies than any English club. Paying tribute to them are the Liverpool Warriors (WARS) Crew, no slouches themselves in several categories. Their strongest suit is without a doubt Parachuting, currently ranked 156th with 703 Wins/2,079 Matches. WARS also are strong in the racing categories - 620th in Non-Contact Races (254 Wins/453 Matches) and 781st in Races (6,335 Wins/11,349 Matches).

D.I.Y. BATTLES

A couple of months back, we featured the CAP PILLAS (BANG) Crew's then-upcoming Head Hollowers Tournament as part of a feature on grass roots Crew events. After a month of battling that started with 21 Crews in the first round (divided into parts 1 and 2) and went on to some great semi-finals action, it got down to the Temple Drive Ballas (TDBG) and FVCK A NAME GANG (FANG) in the finals. Battling it out in not one but two close TDMs – playing the Rockstar Jobs Biolab followed by Governmental - and led by XxSaya-ChanxX's 27 overall kills, FANG took the day 2-0 and thus were crowned champs.

Congrats to FANG and all the participants as well as to HOT_KIMERA, HOT_LEDDY, HOT_PAiiN and HOT_TIGRE for putting together such a great tournament. You can check out highlights of the finals in the sizzle reel above. If the TDBG feel the need for a rematch, feel free to contact us at crewchallenges@rockstargames.com and we may be able to schedule you in an upcoming Crew battle at the official Rockstar Twitch channel.

Meanwhile, almost a year into their formation, the LS Mafia Family (LSMF) Crew are celebrating with a massive, 64-Crew birthday Team Deathmatch tournament. Currently underway in the 3rd round, participating Crews are in the midst of a series of best of three, ten minute battles. You can stay up to date on tourney progress here.

CREWS ON FILM
Here's a look at a few of the most recent Crew-focused vids that grabbed our attention.

Brand new to the Social Club and already putting out awesome highlight vids are the Russian Girls Crew (G1RU) who have a simple motto explaining their common bond: “Russian speakers. Girls.”. Led by Nikacoma, you can check out their official VK profile page as well as this four-minute stylish action clip from erstwhile Commissioner Kokonitos (who is no longer rolling with G1RU and is these days aligned with MAKAVELI’s GTAPhotographers).

The Ageing Infidels (21UP) have come up with a banging GTA Online music video remake of the Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" video. Put your headphones on, turn the volume all the way up and prepare to get amped on this fantastic vid. Our only question is, where's Cochese?

Crew Battle veteran PaxSierraMike and the Australia Illuminati free-aim off-shoot the Highway Daemons MC (HDMI) pay tribute to the chopper that's beloved by many an MC, the Hexer. Appropriately set to "Blue Eyed Hexe" by the Pixies, this video certainly has a bad-ass, "don't F with us vibe" all the way through.

With the 2 Chainz/Wiz Khalifa collabo "We Own It" as the soundtrack, the SoITezRobo Racing (STRR) Crew is responsible for the above ode to Fast and Furious homage. The STRR host car meets regularly and are super active over at the GTAForums Online Meetups Lobby, painstakingly put this tribute capturing the film's essence together over several sessions.

GTA Fan Pics: A Lamar and Trevor Cross-Stitch Collaboration, Vintage Trio Portraiture, Trick Photography Snapmatics and More

Posted on August 4 2014, 4:58pm | Author: R* X | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

In this week's gallery of fan-created GTAV art, check out awesome needlework renditions of Trevor, Lamar, and Chop, plus a couple of perfectly-timed trick photography Snapmatics, a centerfold's worth of Jobs from a prolific Creator and much more.

As always, should you find (or create) any awe-inspiring GTA or Rockstar-related art or photos that you think other fans need to see, make sure to send them our way via Mouthoff and follow us at instagram.com/rockstargames for all our latest official pics.

Digital pixel art becomes tangible as Grace, aka Beast Heads, cross stitched these needlepoint renditions of Trevor and Lamar that are based on yiq's original pixel art dot by dot. Likely not the first time either of these characters has been under the needle.

A striking study of Trevor by Reuben Dangoor on deviantART – blood spattered and looking irascible under the punishing sun of the Blaine County desert.

"Don't stare at the sun" is sage advice we've all most likely received at some stage, though we'd bet that's safer than opening your eyes at Trevor the wrong way in this piece by Riley, aka aumikre on deviantART. Riley drew this scene entitled ‘It’s Not Creepy’ of Trevor invading a sunbathing couple's (perhaps Michael and Amanda?) personal space as a gift for her real life scooter brother.

A vintage and dignified bit of bust portraiture of Trevor, Michael and Franklin looking ready to Musket up - by Spanish deviantARTist Juan Muñoz.

In a similar vein to some of the pre-release travelogue postcards seen at the GTAV official website, German artist Koalindl has been publishing some very inspired and fun new ones at his deviantArt page, taking in some of the many locations and local businesses Los Santos and Blaine County have to offer.

Running away from trouble or towards it? Only Michael himself and Brazil's LRart1 - the creator of this smart action shot - can answer that question.

Some awesome trick photography by a couple of Snapmatic stalwarts. (Left) We're not sure which part is more impressive in the production of this shot: the aim of the person firing the rocket, the cajones of the guy it narrowly misses, or AlexSniperBullet's timing to capture it. As commenter 0lucaspc says, “THAT timing :)”; (Right) Another mindbender by MissQuickSkillz, combining perspective with insane timing to sell the illusion that a P-996 Lazer is but a toy in this bear-headed lady's hand. Amazing work!

So prolific is Aussie GTA Online creator enkionline of the Tumbleweeds Crew, that they comped them all up into this nifty image that looks straight out of a magazine. (Found on Tumbleweeds' Facebook page).
