#TRICKORTREAT SNAPMATIC WINNERS

The first of a few classic horror movie tributes is repdek_2's "Michael Myers" with masterful use of the meme creator to weave an illustration of The Shape. An honorable mention also goes out to HairyHole's well-done (and top voted) meme creator horror tribute poster for The Walking Dead.

"They're creepy and they're kooky..." A very cleverly orchestrated Addams Family portrait by heathyboy94. Great work in dressing up the whole crew as Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, Wednesday, Uncle Fester and Lurch in front of an appropriately gothic manse at “Mount Gordo”– with classic B&W TV filtering to boot.

"Christine" rides again in UglyAssTurtle's fiery tribute to the sentient and malevolent titular Classic ride.

Turismo Halloween Edition
chriz_1 put in some work both at Los Santos Customs and with some inventive meme creator tricks to turn his "Turismo Halloween Edition" carriage into a pumpkin.

Happy Halloween!!
One of the early entries into the #TrickOrTreat contest was this fun photo shoot by CaPn-bOnEs entitled "Happy Halloween!!" of the iGrandTheftAuto Crew going trick or treating.

Honorable Mentions...

• “Chi Chi Chi…. Ha Ha Ha” by Davo00420 – shot on location at Camp Crystal Lake.

• The glowing, haunting "TT2" by Silver Fox1.

"Pillbox Hill" by sungokatana - a simple and spooky skeletal snap using "no memes, just filters".

#GTASANANDREAS SNAPMATIC WINNERS

imsohood_lum's "Rochelle - GTASan Andreas" is a stellar re-creation of the signature Vinewood Chick artwork from San Andreas that has deservedly received quite a bit of love from the community. Editor’s note: While that artwork is not actually based on the ‘Rochell’le’ character mentioned at westcoastraplegends.com, it’s pretty fun to see how fans have envisioned her as being Madd Dogg’s one-time protégé and paramour.

Follow the damn train, CJ!
If you're going to reference one of the most memorable missions (and popular memes) from San Andreas, it better be on point. Pre233's "Follow the Damn Train CJ," based on the Wrong Side of the Tracks mission with CJ and Big Smoke, passes with flying colors and then some.

Welcome back
Classic. Tharnuk is clearly detail-oriented - even going so far as to use the meme creator to simulate as close as possible the original heads-up display from GTA San Andreas. Entitled "Welcome Back" as a nod to the first few steps everyone took playing the game's first mission.

SUN GRIND
Looks like CJ's still got it in him. The sky's the limit in "Sun Grind" by SilverFox1, capturing some serious air on a BMX and framed in beautiful natural light.

San Andreas Gang Warfare #1
"San Andreas Gang Warfare #1." Taken by Bjodjus_LXG, this photo is a nostalgic depiction of the original Los Santos family feud between GSF and the Ballas.

Honorable Mentions...

• "After ten years... it's time to come back". 0lucaspc holds a candle for CJ and company in "Brouge Avenue", a dramatic B&W that gets you right in the feels.

• The "Truth" is... well right here. Fantastic bullet art courtesy of sicaro12.

• "San Andreas Throwback - KDST Flyer Card" by that_VIP_guy takes K-DST's radio promotion to new heights.

• "I'll have two #9's..." You know the rest. AlexSniperBullet gets Big Smoke and the gang back together for one last drive-by "Drive-Thru".

Read on for full details.

DOUBLE GTA$ & DOUBLE RP FOR ALL DEATHMATCHES

Frightful GTA Online encounters are guaranteed with Double RP and Double GTA$ in all Deathmatches, all weekend long. Aim for the pumpkin to max out the headshot RP bonus, or seek out a dark corner of the map to plot your ghoulish intentions.

There'll also be Firework Launchers, Miniguns and an abundant cache of RP, GTA$ and ammo. We've upped the frequency of the Special Crate Drops in every Freemode session - keep an eye on your Feed ticker to find out when they're coming down and look for the Smugglers plane on the map so that you can track the landing spot of the Crate itself, but be warned: You are not alone.

HALF PRICE DISCOUNTS ON HALLOWEEN THEMED GOODIES

To get you into further frightful festivities, you'll also need a costume worthy of playing the part. Vespucci Beach Mask Shop offers an array of accessories and freaky faces to complete your outlandish outfit. This weekend, you'll be able to purchase all masks and hats at half-price and we've also discounted orange weapon tints, orange parachute smoke and orange tire smoke. HALLOWEEN SNAPMATIC CONTEST - #TRICKORTREAT

Once you're fully decked out in your most creative outfit, hit the sidewalks and alleyways to put on a full-on freakshow. We’ll be inviting a few guest players to join the lobby via both Twitter and during the stream via Twitch chat – so make sure you’re Following us in both places to get the word.

And as previously announced, current GTA Online players on PS3 and Xbox 360 will be able to pick up where they left off, transferring their characters and progression seamlessly to their choice of PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC (Social Club membership required).

Few objects are an obstacle for the intimidating Cheval Marshall.

In addition, anyone who pre-orders the game will receive a bonus of GTA$1M ($500k for Story Mode and $500k for use in Grand Theft Auto Online). After the jump, you can also check out a few answers to some of the more frequently asked questions we’ve seen from players about transferring their game to the new platforms.

GTA Online Creator Throwback Jobs: San Andreas Anniversary Special

Posted on October 21 2014, 11:44am | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

Ten years ago this month we were introduced to CJ, Big Smoke and the rest of the Grove Street Families as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas launched on PlayStation 2. As we take a trip down memory lane (by way of Ganton), we've picked out 10 fun GTA Online Jobs published by nostalgic community members (5 each on PS3 and Xbox 360) using the Creator and shared them below. To play these, just click on the title link and select "Add to Game" to bookmark it for your Crew's next GTA Online session.

Race Dam Rider by SyxTnynE (PS3)
This well-balanced Race for 2-wheelers will take you from the Land Act Dam down to the northern outskirts of East Vinewood and back up through the Grand Senora Desert. Try a two lap option with Motorcycles then try switching it up with a single lap BMX for two great takes on this scenic route. Creator SyxTynE poses the challenge: "CJ beat the dam race, now can you?"

Team Deathmatch Grove Sweet Grove by Captain_Fred01 (PS3)
Grove Street itself has certainly been the focal point for many Deathmatch creators looking to represent the green and relive their glory days with The GSF. This particular take on bringing some mayhem to the block shows off a measured balance with an even spread on placement between conventional firearms and melee weapons. Captain Fred gives a familiar call to arms in the Job’s description: "Family's for life homie, you down?"

Race A Home in the Hills by Rozza3 (PS3)
Many will recall the great view from Madd Dogg's luxurious hillside mansion in Mulholland. This particular nod to that location will direct you through a sharp and winding circuit starting in Sandy Shores and along the jack knife turns of Baytree Canyon. Ultimately, you’ll arrive at an equally swanky residence in Galileo Park to bring home the win but be warned you'll need to navigate nimbly, so as not to smack directly into an unforgiving wall or unfortunate roadblock along the way.

Race N.O.E. by ala-eddine97 (PS3)
In the original San Andreas mission, Agent Mike Toreno tells Carl Johnson to "wake up and smell the coffee" and advises him to fly low under the radar, taking a "Nap of the Earth" style route to deliver a crucial package by nightfall. This equally demanding Air Race carves a large ark across Blaine County, starting near the Alamo Sea and concluding at Sandy Shores - and requires you to take on low-key altitudes beneath bridges and outcroppings to clear the checkmarks. Keep an eye out for rival flyers.

Race Sweet and Kendl by GoochTheftAuto95 (PS3)
Bike Race creator GoochTheftAuto95 describes this Job as, "A BMX Race from Hill Valley Cemetery to Grove Street and all the sights in-between. A homage to the San Andreas Mission with the same name." Playing through, you'll certainly start to feel some nostalgia for those early Los Santos missions but there are also some surprisingly massive drops mixed in along this course to keep you focused.

Race Bloodring Bangers by Arms Dealer (Xbox 360)
The Demolition Derby style Banger was a mainstay vehicle of the Bloodring Coliseum in Vice City that carried over to the primetime Blood Bowl in San Andreas. Our Creator in this instance has cleverly used inverted ramps inside the ULSA campus track and field stadium to trap "contestants" in an action-packed GTA Race. Great placement of Rockets, Speed Boosts and weapon pickups ratchet the carnage levels to a rambunctious roar.

Team Deathmatch Gray Imports by JIIThe_JokerIIK (Xbox 360)
According to the Creator of this 2-16 player Team Deathmatch based in the harbors of Elysian Island, you have been "sent over to the docks by CJ to disrupt a meeting between the Russians and the Ballers". Be sure to bring a large group and spread out your forces high and low, as every manner of weapon seems to have spilled out of the shipping crates on to the ground - immediately up for grabs to allies and enemies alike.

Team Deathmatch Grove Street Brawlers by Pressure.Drop (Xbox 360)
Being both a member of the well-known GTAPhotographers Crew and the Creator Core Club, Social Club member, Pressure.Drop appears to have a real knack for creative expression in GTA Online. In this mission, set in the heart of Davis, he takes it back to basics with an array of melee weapons to make things pretty unpleasant in Grove Street. Don't get it twisted though: there are also Molotov Cocktails and Tear Gas grenades to keep your enemies at bay or to press the advantage for your homies.

Race Little Loop by JIIThe_JokerIIK (Xbox 360)
The prolific #Throwback Job Creator JllThe JokerllK follows up with a solid motorbike Race named after the classic San Andreas circuit - with some great ramp placement. Setting the scene, the description reads: "Cesar Vialpando invites you to a sports bike race with ramps and obstacles, taking you from Downtown Vinewood to Los Santos airport, ending at CJ's old crib on Grove ST. Good luck."

Race Wrong Side of the Tracks by GTAMANIAC99 (Xbox 360)
In this fairly straight-forward GTA-style Race, local motorcycle enthusiasts willfully engage in a balls-to-the-wall, destructive tear down the LS train tracks running west to east from Cypress Flats, passing through Mirror Park and concluding in the Tataviam Mountains. You may luck out and tear ahead of the pack at some point but be warned: close-quarters exchanges in the numerous narrow tunnels you will encounter going towards the finish line could even the score at a moment's notice.

If you've spotted or created an epic GTA Online Job themed around one of our games, a certain mission or even your favorite movie, be sure to tag it #throwback on Social Club and drop us a link either here in the comments or via Mouthoff, so we can check it out.

Rockstar Verified Update: 10 New Cloud Piercing Air Races, Including the #FlightSchool Creator Competition Selections

Posted on October 14 2014, 2:02pm | Author: R* K | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

The latest batch of Rockstar Verified GTA Online Jobs take us to the skies above Los Santos and Blaine County, with a squadron of ten Air Races, including our five official selections from the #FlightSchool Event Weekend Creator Competition. These five choices have earned their respective Creators each a cash infusion of GTA$1M plus the AVIATOR custom license plate for their ground-based endeavors. We’ve also selected five runners-up to receive the Rockstar Verified treatment, making them available to play across both PS3 and Xbox 360 (as well as in the upcoming new versions of Grand Theft Auto V launching for PS4 and Xbox One on November 18th and PC on January 27th).

Read on below for descriptions of all these new Verified Jobs and make sure to click on each one's title to add a bookmark via Social Club for easy access during your next play-session. Keep an eye out for more Rockstar Verified Jobs coming soon, including our selections from the recent Last Team Standing Weekend Creator Competition.

#FlightSchool Selections

Helicopters follow the coastline of East Los Santos in Dedalus.

Dedalus - created by jjjpelo
"Easy," reads the one-word description for jjjpelo's long loop along the coastline, but in reality it's anything but. The Swift is the default choice of chopper, and its maneuverability and speed make it an excellent fit. If you're not too busy getting in the blades of your opponents, look out for great views across the city as you climb over the Land Act Dam.

Heli Low Fly Zone - created by LoneWolfOfNorth
The introduction of San Andreas Flight School to GTA Online has arguably increased the skill of local pilots, while at the same time encouraged greater recklessness. This creation from LoneWolfOfNorth features some of the most difficult low flying sections we have seen, to the point where we wondered if it could even be classed as flying. We think that this will be a Race that many players will come back to again and again, especially to try and beat the three-minute Lap challenge laid down in the description.

Jets look to avoid the rotating turbines of the windfarm as they race to industrial South Los Santos in Dusk.

Dusk - created by GunterDaPenguin
GunterDaPenguin has made the city the star of this Besra Race, a north to south tour at a time of day (hence the title) when the world beneath your wings has a stunning amber glow. Not that it's advised to spend too long sightseeing - challenging sections weaving through wind turbines and knifing between skyscrapers should keep your attention on the stick.

Pylon Slalom - created by manfreygordon
Conventional logic would suggest that spinning helicopter blades and overhead power cables are rarely a good mix - but conororor has disregarded this completely and created a fun aerial slalom between pylons in the Besra. Quick reactions and close control over your plane's rudders (L1/LB and R1/RB buttons) are a must.

An appropriately sponsored Mallard weaves through the aerial obstacle course of Sprunk Air Race #1.

Sprunk Air Race #1 - created by kapnkyle
This Mallard Stunt Race is as extreme as the benzene-packed drink from which it takes its name. Loops and tight turns in the skies above Vespucci Beach make for an entertaining test for the most able pilots. Non-Contact is selected by default and we recommend keeping it that way, unless mid-air collisions are your idea of a day at the beach.

Runners-Up

After School - created by KakoQR
The title couldn't me more fitting in this Air Race for San Andreas Flight School graduates looking to take the Besra Training Jet for an off-curriculum cruise. The route is varied, with sections under bridges and over the crest of a mountain, and we suggest keeping the time set to morning so you can enjoy the sunrise around Raton Canyon.

Helicopters take off from the peak of Mt Chiliad in Chopper Bombing.

Chopper Bombing - created by passlake
This helicopter Race feels like a change from the norm right out of the gate, with players starting at the peak of Mt. Chiliad and immediately going into what is accurately described as a "near-suicidal descent", followed by a “treetop-trimming run through Paleto Bay”.

Chopper Killer - created by Liwetha
Another challenging race in the Swift helicopter, with players starting out at the docks and working their way through downtown, squeezing between buildings and climbing to pass over the Maze Bank Tower.

SA Flight School: Racing - created by DemonicStalkerr
This Race is pitched as a chance to put everything you've learned at the San Andreas Flight School to the test, and this proclamation is backed up with a series of tight turns, low flying sections and tight squeezes along its short route. The varied verticality, with some checkpoints requiring you to climb steeply and others forcing you to dive down under bridges, made the Race stand out from the rest.

The Flyby sees Jets roar past the quiet beach town of Chumash.

The Flyby - created by Vance Burrito
Another great, high speed Jet Race with good variation. Highlights include dangerously low flying sections over the rooftops of Chumash beach houses and under bridges as you skim the water in Lago Zancudo, which are separated by a highly technical number of tight turns around the tower of the Fort Zancudo Military Base.

Please note that in addition to occasionally changing Job names due to taste, copyright or other reasons - we also from time to time will make other small edits to players' Jobs before making them Rockstar Verified. This includes, but is not limited to modifying spawn points, improving checkpoints or increasing/decreasing the amount of weapon picks ups for a particular Job. Once Jobs are Rockstar Verified, they become available for play across both platforms, so whether you're on Xbox 360 or PS3, you'll have all these newly Verified creations available in your next Freemode session (and as mentioned above, you can bookmark them at the Social Club for easy access in your next session).

Go ahead and post your Job below in the comments (only once, please don't spam) with a punchy explanation of why it's worth checking out. We're always looking for new player-created Jobs to add to the Rockstar Verified program and the best way to get noticed is to have a solid Race, Deathmatch, Capture or LTS that's been thoroughly tested by the community and refined into the most fun and fair experience it can be.

The Last Team Standing Event Recap: Mae and the Boys vs. The Sidemen, Snapmatic Winners and More

Posted on October 9 2014, 11:45am | Author: R* L | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

The stakes were high this past weekend as GTA Online players went all-in for the Last Team Standing Event, cleaning up with bonus RP, GTA$ and other exclusive rewards like the weekend-only unlockable Manhunt “Please Stop Me” throwback mask, making their own custom LTS Jobs with newly added Creator mode support in The Last Team Standing Update, and more. By the way, for those who didn’t get a chance to nab one of those coveted Special Crate Drops containing the rare Victory Fist tee, good news in that we’ve extended them to keep on dropping all the way until this Monday October 13th and also have increased the frequency so you have a better chance than ever of catching one. Read on for a recap of our livestream showdown, as well as the winning shots in the #LTS Snapmatic Contest and more.

THE OFFICIAL ROCKSTAR LTS EVENT BROADCAST: THE SIDEMEN VS MAE AND THE BOYS

After losing to Mae and the Boys 2-0 in the opening round, The Sidemen try to find redemption in Hawick. Tune in this week for all 4 parts over at the Rockstar YouTube channel in the GTA Online Sessions Playlist.

The weekend festivities kicked off with an epic Last Team Standing livestream face-off between two teams of all-star GTA YouTubers. Mae and the Boys, led by TheMissesMae and featuring Lui Calibre, Mini Ladd and Daithi De Nogla – took on The Sidemen, led by Vikkstar123 and featuring KSI, MiniMinter and Zerkaa

With Lazlow and MLG's veteran competitive play-by-play expert Chris Puckett calling the action, the teams took advantage of the new Rounds system introduced in The Last Team Standing Update to go head-to-head in the “best two out of three” format across several new LTS Jobs.

After taking the first Job ("Mount Josiah") in straight sets 2-0, Mae and the Boys continued their winning streak into the first round of match #2 in "Hawick LTS", with Lui proving to be a virtual one-man-army nabbing four out of the five necessary kills. Despite doing his best to survive by way of hanging out beachside in round 3 at "Paleto Bay", last (side)man standing KSI couldn't avoid the inevitable and Mae's Crew found themselves up 3-0 and pitching a perfect game.

In "Del Perro Freeway LTS", things finally started to gel for The Sidemen as they came out guns blazing. Led by Vikk's dominating four kills, the guys were able to break their opponent's momentum and take the first round. Not taking well to the sting of mortality, Mae's squad buckled down in round 2 though and were completely flawless, forcing round 3 after a 5-0 domination.

With a 1-1 tie and only Lui left alive squaring off against all four of The Sidemen, it looked like Vikk’s squad might keep hope alive with their first match win, but Lui was having none of it. Going on a late round tear, Lui amazingly overcame 1v4 odds and picked off all four remaining members of Team Sidemen, finishing it off by capping MiniMinter to take the deciding round and ultimately the match. Though Puckett declared it the worst choke in recent competitive gaming history, it was all in good, epic fun.

In addition to parts one and two, we'll have episodes three and four of this LTS battle posted at the official Rockstar YouTube channel in the GTA Online Sessions Playlist later this week. Subscribe to get notified every time we post a video. Tremendous thanks to all eight of our guest players for being such amazing sports as well as to Chris Puckett, whose chemistry with Lazlow was on display from the get-go.

We'd also to like to take this opportunity to shout out our friends in the streaming universe that hosted some great LTS-themed live streams over the weekend. Check out Jade Jolie, Garrett of Jobless Gamers (who did an all-Furore car show), and Hike The Gamer. Make any killer vids with new content this weekend? Post them in the comments so the rest of the community can check them out!

AND THE WINNERS ARE...

The Snapmatic paparazzi took the new bikes, car, gear and best Last Team Standing memes and let their #LTS imaginations run wild in pursuit of fame and GTA$ fortune. Below are five of our favorites, all first-time Snapmatic photo contest winners who each will receive GTA$1M plus the BODYBAG license plate for their in-game vehicles.

The Lights Go On
This one really should be framed and hanging at the SAGMA. BushyArtwork captures the new LCC Innovation in striking and artful black and white fashion. Entitled “The Lights Go On”

MANHUNT
We expected that there would be a fair amount of Manhunt tributes and re-creations happening, but the above “Manhunt” by SPLAP-FART, takes the cake. To truly appreciate it, you have to compare it to this classic screenshot from the original Manhunt release. Not only did SPLAP-FART nail an amazingly close re-creation of the pose, lighting and surrounding area, but also replicated the outfit and used the meme creator to simulate the efx including static – and intentionally shrunk the image down in the meme creator for total surveillance camera effect. Slow clap… We’d be remiss not to throw an honorable mention nod to veteran Snapmatic cameraman ZazDillinger who came damn close with his “Beg 4 Mercy” attempt, and this Kill Cam one entitled “He’s Behind You… (Manhunt)” by KiinGSTeR.

Lago Zancudo
A gorgeous sunset drenched Furore GT perfectly composed against the San Andreas waves. So lovely. “Lago Zancudo” by Vinewoodonfire.

How many ninjas can you see?
The very fun “How Many Ninjas Can You See?” by The_Monk52.  We’ll be honest. We have no idea. Tell us, Monk. Although it may be a trick question as Has333 points out in the photo comments: “a true ninja is always stealthy, they don’t take selfies! xD”

 A Perfect Match
On a steel horse he rides. “A Perfect Match” by that_VIP_guy – a very clever idea pitting an appropriately chromed-out Hakuchou beside the iconic Rockford Hills stallion statue.
Honorable mention to SilverFox_2 who similarly juxtaposed the shark-like nose of the Furore GT beside the famous Vespucci Beach shark sculpture.

And a few honorable mentions for some other stellar snaps...
