[GTA Online] ► Insanity, Stunts & PvP | Episode 2 by HenningM92

Titans precariously perched on metal scaffolding and between bridge supports, being used as a surfboard by various Super Cars, P-996 Lazer pilots being expertly sniped out of the sky, flipped over Rhinos doing windmills, fully-packed Speeder motorboats driving up waterfalls... These are just a few of the things you'll see in this action-packed, balls to the wall montage of awesomeness from HenningM92 of the European Connection (TEC Gaming) & GamingOwl Crew. Also check out Episode 1 here.

Tribute to Roberta Mancino - GTA V BASE Jump by Tommy Soulier

In this one, GoPro fan Tommy Soulier uses GTA Online as a medium to channel his favorite real-life skydiver and international model Roberta Mancino. Watch as some high risk jumps and fashionable finery from Ponsonbys come together quite nicely. To compare against some of the real-world Roberta in action, here are some vids linked in the description of Tommy's video: 2 Elements and High Fashion.

GTA 5 - A Look Back at Michael's Life (Facebook Parody) by GTA Series Videos

In our previous Fan Vids post, we caught a glimpse of Trevor and Franklin's heartwarming "Lifeinvader Look Back"s, thanks to veteran fan site and prolific YouTubers GTA-Series - and wondered aloud "whether Michael will also bother to get in on this nostalgic trip down memory lane?”. The answer is a resounding yes – as now it's the head of the De Santa household's turn to bring this amusing parody series full circle.

GTA Online - BMX Death Mix - [BMX Combat Turntablism] by datarace1

Free Aimer swerve servin from the Murders Death Kill Crew got together with the Milwaukee based mixologists at Trauma House to produce what they describe as "BMX combat gameplay and turntablism combining in this next-level compilation of murder in motion". The aforementioned motion in this video is dictated by and syncopated with the back and forth cutting going down on the 1s and 2s in the lower left corner of the screen. If you enjoyed that, there's also an acapella version as well as outtakes from the making of the video to get into. Also, for some cleverly configured gunshots arranged to a bangin' beat (with some well placed in-game sound bites), check out Gunshot Beat #1  by Unspoken OUCH. Get down!

GTA 5 - The AMAZING Stuntman 3 ! by RedKeyMon

Previously featured super heroic stuntman RedKeyMon gained a lot of attention last week for his ultra-tricky and treacherous "Wall of Death" stunt. The latest chapter in this stunt-tastic saga features not only a nod to his Wall of Death set up but a few absolutely amazing touchdowns on some of the most unlikely landing spots around.

Posted on March 6 2014, 1:16pm | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Games

Check out some excellent GTAV-based fan video creations featuring a real life team of graff artists putting it down V-style in Germany, some imagined retrospectives from Trevor & Franklin's personal Lifeinvader histories, a splendid Snapmatic montage as well as some masterful stunt highlight reels and daring metagame maneuvers.

Renegades Crew Meeting 2014 Wuppertal by ZS - The Renegades Crew

Graffiti artists ZS, Kid Karo, Sure, Rast and Basco - collectively known as The Renegades Crew gathered together to tap out a GTAV inspired masterpiece on an underpass wall in Wuppertal, Germany. Integrating their own flavor to the mix, they've got their Grand Renegades crew ID done up a la the Grand Theft Auto logo, Beach Weather Girl appropriately brandishing a can of spray-paint in lieu of an iFruit, Franklin & Chop set against the backdrop of the Vinewood Hills (RENEGADES subbed in for the iconic VINEWOOD sign), a green Declasse Sabre Turbo and a nod to the Rockstar logo to boot. Watch the sweet making-of video above, and you can see the final consolidated vista of the finished product piece at the Renegades Crew's Facebook page.

GTA5 - A Look Back at Trevor's Life (Facebook Parody) by GTA Series Videos

Speaking of Facebook - spoofing the recent Look Back feature they added to commemorate their 10 year anniversary, the creative minds at GTA Series Videos reimagined how it might look if Trevor and Franklin applied a similar treatment to their own personal Lifeinvader pages. Watch Trevor's above and also check out Franklin's Lifeinvader retrospective clip. We have to wonder whether Michael will also bother to get in on this nostalgic trip down memory lane?

GTA5 Year in Snapmatic | Fast Photo Montage by Aegis Imperium | EGIS

Once again, the keen eye of Aegis Imperium Crew Leader el serpe is at work, combining the Snapmatic photos of over 180 shutterbugs who he graciously credits in the description of this video. If you yourself have a good eye and sharp memory you should recognize a few of these from our recent Snapmatic Photo Contests and Fan Pics Newswire articles. Sensory overload never tasted so sweet.

Things to do in GTA V - Achievement Knievel by Achievement Hunter & Rooster Teeth

Already having racked up over 2 million views, the folks from Achievement Hunter and Rooster Teeth have documented their pursuit of a daredevil “Achievement Knievel” stunt. The aim being to leapfrog ten buses with sportscars and a strategically-placed ramp. It gets pretty insane towards the end as the gang gets a jet involved as well for a truly explosive conclusion.

Also check out some metagame hilarity had recently by NerdCubed and Yogscast Martyn in an epic battle of plane vs dump truck they called “Dump Jump!”.

GTA Fan Vids: "Inconvenience Store" Short Silent Film, "A Tribute to the P-996 Lazer", "The Rhythm of Los Santos" & More

Posted on February 7 2014, 11:54am | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Games

Taking Vinewood movie making back to its essence. Check out this quite creative short silent film by Grand Theft Auto fan and silent movie enthusiast sneaverson entitled "Inconvenience Store" - the story of a 24/7 hold-up gone awry, recently spotted on the GTAV subreddit.

And read on below for a collection of some of the latest and greatest fan-created GTA videos including save-the-day stunt montages, meticulously shot time-lapse presentations and major Lazer-focused tributes.

We've seen montages featuring all sorts of land-based vehicles in GTAV and GTA Online, from awesomely acrobatic Akumas scaling Los Santos skyscrapers to people landing that perfectly placed rail slide along a fence line on their Scorcher. Now, here are a few folks who've struck the perfect balance between aerial combat maneuvers and gracefully flirting with disaster to show just what the P-996 Lazer is capable of.

"A Tribute to the P-996 Lazer" by PerfectPlays

Recently, video production and commercial maker PerfectPlays (aka potatobears on reddit) spread his creative wings by reaching out to the Reddit Community and sharing this excellently cut tribute to this infamous 50 caliber bird - calling on a classic track from San Andreas's K-DST to set it off nicely. Also check out an amazing run of high risk maneuvers during "GTA V - Not a stunt montage. Just one long take".

Meanwhile, "DANGER ZONE 2 - GTA 5 Jet Stunts" by vSubFire shows Franklin tuning in to a Loggins inspired "Danger Zone 2" montage that features harrowing flipside passes through San Andreas' lowest bridges and eye of the needle cut-throughs in some of the narrowest spaces available.

With all the flashy cars, amazing stunts and explosive action to be enjoyed in San Andreas, it's often easy to forget that Los Santos and Blaine County can also offer a chill visual respite amidst the chaos. Here are a few excellent vids that stop to take in the view.

"The Rhythm of Los Santos" by Ferino Design

You may remember Ferino Design for the awesome Art in Motion animated graphics GTAV video series. Now maestro Ferino turns the focus to the streets and hillsides of GTA Online with an amazingly crafted and hypnotic time-lapse video, "The Rhythm of Los Santos". Says Ferino, "Lovely, lovely city. I love it, its rhythm, its beauty... Spent on this video: 128 hours of video material and more than a month of work." Kudos. And while we may all be relieved to have the hectic Holidays behind us, we would be remiss to not mention his charmingly cheeky and super slick "Happy Holidays in Los Santos" video as well.

Crew Commissioner BoomStickChick of the LC Wolfpack Crew took her first swing at creating a time-lapse style video with Grand Theft Auto V Time Lapse and we must say her composition and perspective in some of these living-breathing postcard shots is top-notch.

Crew Cut: Chain Gangs of 2014

Posted on January 17 2014, 1:41pm | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

This edition of the Crew Cut highlights some squads that are clearly staking a claim on 2014, Crews that have been banding together to collaborate and upvote each other’s custom-made Creator Jobs, Crews that had a melee Christmas with the seasonal Holiday Gifts and more.

A tip of the cap to all of the Crews out there who have formally laid claim to this year by pre-emptively branding themselves with ‘2014’ in their name. There’s the over 50 member deep BAF CREW 2014 of France created last fall just prior to the release of GTAV as a new incarnation of BAFC - and smaller squads such as the Chain Gang of 2014, cleverly named as a nod to one of GTAV’s signature soundtrack artists and the inspiration for the name of this particular Crew Cut edition. It will certainly be interesting to see how newer Crews like Honey Badgers 2014GT4 V KINGZ 2014 and The Night Crew 2014 (to name just a few) flourish or flop as an exciting new year of GTA Online carries on.

Veteran French Crew Shine Thugz are back beating down some serious war drums in their homemade "I'm a Thug" music video , scoring YG and Meek Mill's tune to their own GTA Online thuggery.

Anonamix and fellow Crew mates DOPEBOT and NachoWoo from the Traffickers Crew are making Deathmatch and Race Creator collaboration make a family affair as seen in their Grand Theft Thursdays video above which highlights four of their proudly created Jobs: Bloody BankersMow Money Mow ProblemsRoof Top Rumble and Hella Propella - a dangerous and diabolical Air Race through the RON Alternates Wind Farm that you can see in action from 1:37 on in the clip. Way to go in collaborating, supporting and promoting the custom Jobs of your brethren.

Created by Crew Leader Socketz and Commissioner Noru122 from Consumer Products [OCPC] in collaboration with YouTuber lazarus spade we see a full on weapons-check exhibition in two vicious Deathmatches: Back Alley Beatdown and Bridge Too Far - an "all out war" that shows off exactly what happens when push comes to shove on a narrow bridge packed with high-explosive playthings in Raton Canyon.

Upon reading our feature on Reddit Crews, Commissioner AlienJulius of the Reddit 360 V Crew (REDT) contacted us as if to say, "challenge!"  Looking at their Subreddit, you'll find a gracious and classy Crew that has it together, with pep talksorganized sports-themed game nights and even discussions about how to get mentioned in this Newswire column.

Crew Lieutenant Classabear of the highly involved FIBS MOST WANTED reached out to us to let us know that while other Crews do their best to avoid being left black and blue, MSTW embrace Rockstar North Studio’s colors fully to represent themselves as a strictly active (inactives get the boot) 300 member outfit networking on all fronts through FacebookTwitter and Youtube. They also participate in various Crew activities and awesome photo-shoots which is made evident by their submitted GTA Online style shard art above.

Clan mXm (MXMR) dropped us a line via Mouthoff about their close-knit group that's relatively new to the Social Club scene. They've existed as a gaming clan for nearly a decade before deciding to take their talents to Los Santos in GTA Online. The level of commitment and seriousness these guys have is impressive. They have an official appreciation letter and patch (seen below) they send out as part of inducting new members and their loyalty even transcends simply gaming together - Associate Lieutenant Officer626 from the mXm affiliate Crew L S Police Division relayed, "A good example of our dedication to each other came with Hurricane Katrina. In the aftermath of the hurricane, two of our members were left displaced and with nothing. In an effort to respond, the clan organized monetary donations and aid from all of our members as well as the other clans we had come to know to help them out, something we look back proudly on today."

Hit the jump to check out some holiday hell-raising had by the Australia Illuminati, DiorNation and Hells Angel El81ite.

Fan Videos: Street and Sky Stunt Montages, Niko's Yoga Session and A Very GTA Christmas

Posted on January 8 2014, 11:39am | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Games

In the latest round-up of excellent fan-created videos, we've got some impressive montage work (over land and air), another gem from Yeardley Diamond and a recap of our favorite festive creations, compliments of the recent GTA Online Holiday Gifts.

Anyone who's jumped from high altitudes over Los Santos & Blaine County understands the severe consequences that come with waiting too long to pull your chute. Here, ajbsd and friends show off their reckless disregard for the consequences of achieving terminal velocity in this slick montage. Those who enjoy difficult aerial maneuvers of all shapes, sizes and means of conveyance might also dig the squadron of semi-synchronized Titans in Badass-Titan-Aviator-Squadron by reeplay1984, featuring the Bullet Soldiers Crew.

The based Nomad Union Crew linked up with stunt superstar BenBuja for this new collection of impressive stunts. Stunning highlights include a pin-point landing on the Rebel Radio logo, tunnel wall-riding and an inverted flight through the Port of Los Santos container cranes - all featured with the proud disclaimer that 'no cheats or mods were used to perform these stunts'.

For more great montages, also check out:

The always impressive Yeardley Diamond, known for several classic GTA fan vid creations, now shows us that Niko Bellic has gotten through his recent existential crisis and is happily balancing his chakras with the aid of Yoga - to a much greater degree than Michael De Santa ever could from the looks of it.

Before giving way to the January doldrums of bitter cold and broken resolutions, Christmas in Los Santos gave us a wealth of Social Club members decked out in holiday gear... to gather with friends and Crew members before exchanging gunfire in a host of winter-themed videos. In the vid above, Mr. Fullerton regales us with a fun rendition of Twas the Night Before Christmas that's sure to please even the biggest Scrooge. If you liked that, be sure to also check out Mess Yourself showing off Trevor's grinchier side in GTA 5 - How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Anonamix and the Trafficker Crew's A Trafficker Christmas, and long-running fan site GTA Series' montage of all the holiday themed gifts available in GTA Online.

  • GTA 5 in Real Life: Part 2 by Dustin Valcalda: From Venice to Vespucci, from the Del Perro Pier to the Santa Monica Pier, in the follow up to his series, GTA 5 In Real Life, Dustin Valcada has done an excellent frame to frame match-up of unique in-game perspectives that may have you question if life imitates art or if it's the other way around.
  • GTA 5 - Ghost Rider (with tutorial) by Mutzrosity: Using the invincibility cheat to transform yourself into the Spirit of Vengeance? Very clever. Mutzrosity generously shows viewers how to get their personal blaze on at the tail end of the video.
  • GTA LCS Theme "Dark March" Cover and Red Dead Redemption Theme Cover by SquidPhysics: Multi-talented musician SquidPhysics, who you may recall from his amazing one-man-band recreations of the GTAV Theme and other classic GTA theme songs, has now released a spot-on take on the Liberty City Stories Theme - awesome enough to make even hard-to-please "Ma" Cipriani proud. Taking us out of Liberty City, down south and across the Mexican border, Squid also moves a memorable Marston melody along with ease and finesse.
