L.A. Noire Tools and Clues Collectibles Update at the Rockstar Warehouse: Golden Globe Table Lighter, Ransom Design T-Shirt & Magnets on Sale Now

Posted on July 14 2011, 7:00pm | Author: R* W | Filed Under: Games, Rockstar

We've just added three more limited-edition items from the L.A. Noire Tools and Clues Collection over at the Rockstar Warehouse, now available for purchase.

For the L.A. Noire completist or for anyone who can appreciate some fine quality-crafted collectibles, we've got an impressive real-life recreation of the Globe Table Lighter that makes an appearance as a clue in the game itself, along with two sinister Ransom-themed items: a slick, tactile set of Ransom letter styled magnets and the latest style in official L.A. Noire t-shirts - The Ransom Tee.

More detail and product pics below - hit up the L.A. Noire Collection area at the Rockstar Warehouse to order now while supplies last.

L.A. Noire Golden Globe Table Lighter
A clue found while working one of the Homicide desk's most notable cases, this is a faithful real-world creation of the one you pick up in the game. The refillable L.A. Noire Golden Globe Table Lighter is constructed from solid pewter, and then plated in brass to give it a substantial presence in both its closed and opened positions.

L.A. Noire Ransom Letter Magnets
The popular letter magnets get a sinister spin for when you want to leave a pointed message on the fridge for that roommate, sibling or spouse...
Spell out your note or demands with 50 letters (upper case and lower case) in various shapes and sizes.
("Experts say that when a threat note uses cut out letters, it's generally not from a stranger but from someone who has an emotional attachment to the victim...")

L.A. Noire Ransom Letter Tee
Our latest all black, soft cotton tee features Rockstar Games imprinted in b&w ransom note-style lettering. The back side of the tee is emblazoned with the L.A. Noire logo right below the neckline.

L.A. Noire Official Soundtrack CD Now Available at the Rockstar Warehouse

Posted on July 8 2011, 1:57pm | Author: R* W | Filed Under: Games, Music

Previously available only as a download through iTunes in North America and Europe, you can now pick up the L.A. Noire Official Soundtrack CD digipak, complete with detailed liner notes and L.A. Noire artwork exclusively at the Rockstar Warehouse. The CD is priced at $7.99, which incidentally is also the new sale price for downloading the digital version (shipping and handling fees of course apply for purchasing the CD).

Inspired by the sweeping orchestral scores from the great films of the 1940s, L.A. Noire's original score was composed by Andrew Hale along with Simon Hale and was recorded in the same Abbey Road Studios that are credited for the innovative recording techniques adopted by The Beatles, and Pink Floyd. Additional music was composed for the score by Woody Jackson, who has won numerous awards as co-writer on the original score of Red Dead Redemption.

Visit www.rockstargames.com/lanoire/soundtrack to listen to samples from the album, as well as from the Verve Records L.A. Noire Remixed Project - a collection of jazz classics from the game's soundtrack re-interpreted by some of today's most acclaimed DJs, producers and remixers (available for download through iTunes in North America and Europe).

Thanks to Everyone for Coming Out to the 38th Annual Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic (Photos & Recap)

We'd like to extend our thanks to everyone that came out to Marcus Garvey Park on Sunday, June 19th to experience the 2011 Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic and wish congratulations to all the day's winners, including the victor of the overall Omnium, Leif Lampater - who last year finished second in this event behind his teammate Christian Grasmann.

The day began with the kids races where the young'ns got busy on the track competing in a series of educational races and got a chance to score some free bike gear. Throughout the day, BMX pro crew members Jay Rodriquez, Danny Parks and others on hand entertained kids of all ages putting on an aerial show that was worth the trip to the event in itself.

The day of high speed competition started with John Blake and Godfrey Pollydore winning the Cat 4 Men's Points race, and Cat 2/3 Men's Points race respectively. Kristin Lotito of West Hempstead New York held off a talented group of Pros to win the Women's Pro 1/2/3 Points race, and set the stage for the main event of the day, the David Walker Memorial Elite Men's Professional race. Reformatted to showcase the speed and skill of some of the world's best track racers, this two round Omnium consisted of both a points race, and an elimination race that kept the crowd riveted. Leif Lampater placed first overall and first in the Pro Men's Points race while Douglas Repacholi won the Pro Men's Elimination race by pulling away from the pack early and crossing the finish line well ahead of the field.

The final event of the day was the three lap Keirin Exhibition finale. Riders for this race were placed behind a motorcycle that accelerated from about 15 mph to 30 mph before pulling off and launching the riders into a lap long sprint for the finish. Godfrey Pollydore - also the winner of the Cat 2/3 Men's Points race - shocked the field and made an excellent sprint to win in a very close and exciting heat.

Check out a few photos from the event below, and for anybody that didn't have a chance to watch our live race day webcast stream, you can see the archived video featuring the entirety of the Men's Omnium and Keirin Exhibition along with more photos over at http://www.rockstargames.com/skyscraperclassic/2011. Also visit the official Harlem Skyscraper website for all of the day's results, and more event day media.

Keep a close eye on the Rockstar Warehouse in the coming weeks for more from this special collection.

L.A. Noire Barking Irons Station Shirt

This crisp white button-up was custom-designed by Barking Irons in honor of L.A. Noire, inspired by the look of a keen investigative professional in the 1940s. Some of you may recall Barking Irons' craftsmanship from the Red Dead flannels last year; this year, they bring the luxury woven spin that they're known for to the L.A. Noire collection.
High-quality attention to detail can be found in its myriad features:
•    Hidden side seam pockets
•    Designed notepad pocket with styled stitch and pen slot
•    Forearm patches
•    Bicep button to secure rolled up sleeves
•    Dissected placket
•    Lined placket
•    Mother of Pearl buttons
•    Back sleeve vent
•    L.A. Noire logo custom label on side seam
•    Refashioned L.A. Noire and Rockstar inner label

L.A. Noire Right Angle Flashlight

A descendant of the original Fulton M-122D flashlight introduced in 1944, the Fulton MX-991/U is the current standard issue flashlight for the US Army, uses two D-cell batteries (not included), and has a screw-cap compartment that holds a spare bulb and two colored lenses - red and dark blue. The switch guard has precision laser engraving of the Rockstar logo on one side, and the L.A. Noire logo on the other.

L.A. Noire Notebook and Pencil Set

Keep tabs on your own "Persons of Interest" in the L.A. Noire official Notebook. Each set comes with a L.A. Noire branded notebook, and specially made pencil case (five pencils included), with L.A. Noire branding on the top, and the Rockstar Games logo on the bottom.

The 38th Annual Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic Is Fast Approaching, Sunday June 19th - Check Out Updated Schedule of Events & Webcast Info

Posted on June 7 2011, 11:03am | Author: R* W | Filed Under: Rockstar

Just around the bend, a week from this Sunday, will be the 38th annual Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic held at Marcus Garvey Park up in Harlem USA (121st Street and Fifth Ave) on Father's Day, June 19th, 2011. We cycling enthusiasts here at Rockstar are getting pumped and preparing for what we hope will be another great Sunday in the park for one and all on this, our third consecutive time proudly sponsoring the event.

Today, we've just launched our 2011 event page detailing all of the information about this year's Classic - which has been reformatted to preview the new Olympic track racing format, the Omnium - a difficult and fast paced racing style that was invented and popularized right here in our hometown of New York City. Incorporated to attract the casual spectator, the new format showcases the speed and skill of the riders, with a series of races that are all held on the same day.

As always, the event offers a great time for both serious cycling fans - with a rare chance to watch world-class professional cyclists like Franco Marvulli, Christian Grasmann and Leif Lampater in action - and for families looking to spend a great day in the park with activities like the "Bike Bonanza", where kids can improve their riding skills, get a free bike helmet, swap their bike for a better one, or register their bike through the New York Police Department. Bike New York is teaming with the Department of Transportation’s Education and Outreach division, DOT Bike Program, and Recycle-A-Bicycle to offer the program free to children of all ages.

The day’s events will kick off at 12:00 p.m. with the children’s races - a chance for kids to ride and race in front of a cheering crowd on the streets of NYC. A full card of adult amateurs (men and women) will then take to the streets beginning at 1:30 p.m., followed by the main event featuring the elite men's professionals at 4:00 p.m. – the only event in the greater New York City area to pit world-renowned cyclists against one another. The day’s events are a true celebration of all things cycling, bringing together the best of BMX, road racing, and fixed-gear racing in a festival that is unrestricted by age, experience or gender.

Race coverage begins on Sunday, June 19th at 4:00 pm [ET], and will broadcast streaming live online at http://www.rockstargames.com/skyscraperclassic, and on NYC Live TV, Channel 25 in New York City.
