The latest collection in the Action Series features Max far from home - infiltrating the lair of some dangerous suspects in São Paulo's favelas, gripping a dual-weld combo of a Micro 9mm and DE .50, and caught in the crossfires of an intense gunfight in a shot as seen in the game's Official Launch Trailer.

In Max Payne 3, the Assault Rifle class of weaponry serves as the backbone to Max's arsenal; the G6 Commando, MD-97L, FAL, and AK-47 all deliver powerful long range accuracy while still being agile enough to handle enemies at shorter distances with their rapid rate of fire, and high-capacity magazines.

Max Payne 3's Arcade Modes bring intense bonus shootout challenges to the single-player game experience - featuring "Score Attack" and the return of the classic "New York Minute" mode from the first two Max Payne games in explosive form. In addition to the thrill of besting your own top scores (and the scores of all your Friends and Crew members at the new Social Club), high scores also reward you exclusive multiplayer avatars and XP benefits.

So after you've earned a Platinum ranking for your historic Score Attack and New York Minute runs from level to level, you will not only earn a boat load of XP, but also unlock coveted character avatars for Multiplayer Deathmatch like Fabiana Branco, Passos and more.

SCORE ATTACK

After you've completed any single-player level, you'll be able to replay it in Score Attack mode, where you gun for the highest score possible - acquiring points for each shot that hits its mark and each adversary you vanquish.
 

NEW YORK MINUTE

This fan-favorite bonus mode from Max Payne and Max Payne 2 returns as a frantic battle that puts one minute on the clock and awards you with additional time for each enemy that you kill.

Inspired by the treacherous Max Payne 3 Multiplayer mode of the same name, 'Payne Killer' is the latest entry in our Max Payne 3 Original Artwork series. In Payne Killer, one team of two plays as Max and his partner Passos gunning to stay alive for as long as possible - and everybody else plays as ruthless mercenaries armed to the teeth, relentlessly trying to take them down.

Designed as the multiplayer evolution of Max Payne 2’s "Dead Man Walking" mode - which put Max up against a continuously streaming onslaught of adversaries - Payne Killer begins as a traditional deathmatch contest, but the first killer and their victim become Max and Passos, gaining special weapons and abilities that give them a fighting chance against all the other remaining players now looking to supplant them. The primary objective for all other players becomes eliminating Max & Passos, earning points based on staying alive and dealing damage as well as landing lethal shots on either Max or Passos. Players that are Max or Passos score points by killing their would-be attackers. At the end of a match, whoever scores the most points is the victor.

This specific battle depicted in our artwork rendition takes place on the Tietê River at the Docks map, and sees Max and Passos laying waste to all-comers as the rain lashes down upon them. As you can see, the pair are wielding some serious firepower to protect themselves. Passos is blasting away with an MPK, part of the Submachine Gun range, and Max is pumping out deadly rounds with the show-stopping M4 Super 90 shotgun.
