For all these newbs complaining about getting killed, they do have private online available. You can level up to a point where u can defend yourself a little better. Now from what I've noticed, 99% of the people I run into shoot first anyway, so if you happen to shoot at that guy with the golden firearm, chances are he's gonna own you. Bring back the tags!!!! Also I look forward to the hackers and modders getting removed from the boards asap. Call me crazy, but I find it impossible to clear an area in 00.00 seconds. They should have at least been modest about it.
One other thing is saving with cheats enabled?! For one the game isnt that hard, and if you need to cheat then perhaps gaming isnt your thing. I have never used a cheat for any game I have ever played, as I think it defeats the purpose. I actually liked that you couldn't save if you cheated. But, at least in most games these cheaters cant earn trophies. On the good side RDR is the best game I have played yet. I have 21 games and it gets more play then any of them. Lookin forward to Bully 2!!!

i dont know if anyone else has had the same problem but i thought id try out the option to chabge the r1, r2, l1 and l2 buttons, and u know what it did, I CAN NO LONGER SHOOT, AT ALL!! NOT EVEN AIM!!! i tried changing it back but still couldnt aim, tried turning of the sony and restarting the game, no luck. so i was going to finish of sp and get 100% but now i cant even shoot a friggin rabbit! WTF!!!

fix this R*, before this i had all the praise in the world for this game, but know i cant even play it in SP or MP. R* this glitch friggin sux and u guys had better have a fix for it soon, as im sure im not the only one this has happened to, and seriously, u cant play the game at all if u cant even draw a gun. bloody lame.

RS, why did we loose the dead eye when using throwing knives and why is it so much harder to get a kill in shootout modes, i put 3 bullets in somes chest they just brush it off and hit me with a shotgun from 50plus yds and kill me now i know a shotgun doesn't reach that far,plus i hope next patch puts some more things in sp mode as it did in mp mode, plus in co op mode i see a black horse with a gold mane and gold tail i been searching in sp mode can't find one,can you put it in sp mode with a few more extras plz,i been playing game since it cameout so i hope to see it xpand sucessfully...

hey rs for the ppl that that think lvl 50 prestige guys are cheating those are kids that are under age and just got the game 2weeks ago,i have had the game since it cameout and i played my ass off doing hideouts 5hours on and off until i made it.i'm glad your putting names back over our heads..i helped players lvled up and i have a type for you guys still trying do hideouts alone and the faster you do them without dieing yo will get max pts for that hideout..

Bring back the original Free Roam! The lack of overhead gamertags has killed the fun. How are posse leaders supposed to communicate instructions to their members when they can't even tell them apart? Who cares about unlocking new titles that no one will ever see? What happened to the Wild West that was populated with bad-ass gunslingers whose names and reputations meant serious business when you saw them coming across the desert? Now we're all just a bunch of nameless strangers with symbols over our heads.

And don't get me started on the invisible re-spawn. What a lame cheat. Battles are all the same rythm now: You kill your enemy, then he re-spawns and casually snipes from an invisible vantage point. Then you re-spawn and do the same stupid thing back to him. Boring. We all took our lumps in the beginning, getting killed over and over by players who were faster, had bigger guns, and took no mercy on a Greenhorn who kept re-spawning in a field with no cover. It's part of the game. It's part of what made it feel like the real Old West. Anti-griefing? Grief is all I feel when I play this game now. Grief from remembering how cool it was only a few weeks ago.

Bring back back the gamertags. Lose the invisible re-spawn.

...also gang/free for all lobbies are empty 90% of the time since the update.

Personally I think user tags should NEVER be visible for enemies and always be visible for teammates. And radar blips only visible when running or shooting just like in the matches.

i love the game and i enjoy the multiplayer.. i havent had any issues from this patch i know most have to each there own.. i do thank rockstar for trying to solve the issues that were there even if some dont see them as issues.. but i do think that some type of friendly fire being shut except area effect weapons would be great to have shut off.. i mean like ive said before its annoying to join a group to have them kill you just cause they can.. i mean when i aim i can tell which player is on my team or not so i know they can to.. even with the gamer tags off there is a difference in color your team will have the same color as you and that ive noticed that usualy white on your screen.. so shooting your own team mates means you ignored the color of who your shooting at... and im a bit curious since what i read is they are adding the gambling to the multiplayer will those playing cards or dice be immuned to gun fire.. i mean it would suck if your playing cards and some one comes up and kills all of you.. i mean love the idea that your adding the gambling to it just dont want to be shot down while playing is all..either way thanks to rockstar you make one hell of a game ..

I really wanted to get the legends and killers dlc. However reading the comments about others who dont have the dlc not being able to see your new characters I just cant bring myself to get it. Rockstar you really need to fix or at least address this issue. I have almost 80 friends under my PSN name unfortunely most of them dont play this game. I have asked them to join but they are bored with the lack of free roam npc's and content. I can't blame them for that but I like just riding around and killing gangs or causing general havoc. I really like the coop missions too. But it takes me at 10 to 20 mins of bouncing around free roams to find enough people to play with mics. Great single player game but the online especially free roam needs alot of work

Please put gamertags above player heads again.

I agree with the last several posters R*, this update has seriously messed up Free Roam. I mean are you kidding me I can't even see my own posse!? Anti-griefing?!? LMAO I've never been more p.o.'d about a mandatory update in my life. You have let all the whiners who probably aren't even old enough to buy this game and a XBL Gold subscription talk you into ruining Free Roam. Why not take out the "Find A New Free Roam" option as well! I mean wasn't that enough for all the newbs who haven't figured out how to posse-up and defend themselves?! This happens to all of my favorite games these days...a few whiners must have said the magic word and presto, the devs go and change it up like everyone wanted it. Free Roam is gonna suck now until its either fixed, or until the Liars and Cheaters DLC comes out. Till then you'll find me in Gang Matches. :/

OK, after playing with this patch for sometime now ive come to hate free roam more and more. the fact that you removed the gammertags from over players heads makes it impossible to defend yourself when you are playing a hideout and another posse attacks you... not only can you not tell the difference between the posse attacking you or the actually gang in the hideout, you dont even know where the posse attacking you is after you kill one of them for 15 secounds (once you see them on the radar they are right behind you). I really liked free roam before this update, even when i was a level 1 donkey rideing newb i enjoyed it. I CAN LIVE WITH THE 15 SECOUND IVISIBILITY AFTER YOU GET KILLED BUT THE GAMERTAGS ABOVE THE PLAYERS HAS TO GO BACK THE WAY IT WAS

rockstar just stop listening to the kids that whine because the hardcore gamers your hurting with your updates and your gonna lose 80 pct of your players because 20 pct complained do the math rockstar..

Since this last update 1.03 that all other players in the online rooms during a game left and the game ends, i stay alone and i get back to the lobby (the one where we can punch each other) waiting untill people join in.
This didn´t happen before the update.
I have NAT 2 in PS3.

R* im not a psychic or anything but i know if you take away the option of killing another player in free roam you will lose the majority of your customers and thats not an assumption thats a 100% CERTIFIABLE GUARANTEED FACT their might be a few on here that disagree with me but their are 1000x more people that do agree

It was a perfect decision to install the USE TRANSPORT option after 3 kills, but wasnt that enough? I mean what if i want to have a FREE ROAM BATTLE with somebody? or maybe 2 somebodies? or more?

I have never said anything about all the glitches and bugs and stuff in the game because its too big of a world for little things like that. But in my opinion this goes too far, that you protect the noobs that kill you when im on my $7495 bounty and have another posse member who has $7500 bounty. Im sorry but that noob has got to be owned and pwned over and over again. He shouldnt have the option to invisibly sneak up on me with his cattleman and splatter my brains out. Im NOT MILD im WILD BUNCH!!! He is not to be protected after 1 kill, after 3 kills he can decide if he wants too transport. Really this invisibility thing is making me not wanna play FREE ROAM EVER AGAIN! Please R* for GAMERS SAKE... change it back...

BTW what is up what the loading screens lately? its supposed to be pictures with explanations, but sometimes i have this HUGE spinning thing all over my screen (its where the bullets go in the gun i dont know the name for it... excuse my english, but its on the left down side of the screen spinning with bullets)
