Rockstar Editor Updates: Coming in September to PS4 & Xbox One with New Features
Create, edit and share your GTAV and GTA Online experiences – from amazing stunt montages to creative machinima storytelling – with the Rockstar Editor coming in September to PS4 and Xbox One.
Next month, the Rockstar Editor officially makes its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles as part of the next downloadable update for Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. This update will also bring with it some new features for the Rockstar Editor that will be available for all three platforms including PC, along with some exciting new gameplay for GTA Online Freemode that we’ll be sharing more about in the coming weeks.
NEW FEATURES
Here's a brief rundown of some of the new features that will debut as part of the next official update:
Ambient Audio and Sound Effects Library: Add ambient and atmospheric sound design with a library of audio tracks to help bring your scenes to life or add sound effects from a collection of Foley and other sfx.
Snapmatic Integration: Now you can export any still frame at a marker point straight to Snapmatic, giving you ultimate freedom when searching for that perfect camera angle.
Director Mode Updates: An enlarged minimap with location blips to highlight preset locations, the power to freeze chosen time of day settings and the ability to spawn air and water vehicles.
Copy and Paste Marker Properties: Easily copy and paste your audio settings from any marker to another marker in the clip – adding invaluable efficiency to your go-to editing techniques.
New Fonts: You'll now have more style options than ever for your titles and credits -- we're tripling the library of available fonts with new styles.
Add dramatic sound design to your creation with a new library of atmospheric Ambient Tracks.

- on November 3 2015, 6:08pm@CowboyRoyal You can only access Rockstar Editor from Story Mode, however you can record gameplay from GTA Online as well as Story Mode and Director Mode.

- on October 10 2015, 11:45pmi like playing with the rockstar editor, i just wish that in director mode you could have more actors at a time, have settings to where u can have them follow your actor, attack them, be afraid of them or something, make it to where u can have two npc actors, and have them interact with each other for scenes. i have so many ideas for a clip but dont have any idea how i could make it happen the way i want it too, just figured id put this out there :)
- on October 13 2015, 7:56pm@Brittviv2012 Yea. Makng them many dialogues or have a microphone and making them talk. Also having animations, like you said interacting with stuff, or record the way the player is playing and decide what npc must do that recorded stunt.
