@KalactuPR I really don't think it's something R* is looking to patch.

In my opinion, it's pretty safe within the lines of acceptable gameplay. I think the developers considered the proximity of that crappy apartment. Also - they've mentioned before that they encourage players to be creative and clever when completing heists (hence, it's not required to follow the yellow objective)

It's my understanding that regardless of your apartment - after you get on the bikes you're allowed to go back into your garage. I know some folks drive all the way back to Eclipse towers and still make it to the boat.

And wouldn't you think Rockstar would already be aware of this? Heists been out for almost 6 months now.

It's been "common knowledge" since about a day after heists were released about these methods. Those which may get patched could be the "fly the lectros to the dinghy under the map" etc. (which I shall not go in to details of for obvious reasons).

Using the resources available to us is acceptable. Glitching and hacking is not. Going by the speed at which Rockstar have patched some pretty big money glitches they obviously are not too fussed that some of us will prefer to take a car to the dinghy rather than take a bike up a mountain and jump off. They said all along, do heists your own way.

@MrK1ro Just finished pac standard. Double money. And it's looks like the whole losing money by getting shot is of the table. We got shot a bunch of times but we didn't lose a dollar. Thanks Rockstar!

@littlejerome Randoms will always play that way. It's all about highest number of kills or medal awarded to them. This is why I avoid randoms and spent the time and effort to find and build a reliable team for my crew (it's also why my crew is a crew of 6 not 600).
I'm an XBOX person as is my crew so I cannot help you on that score but can give pointers in finding that crew which makes the game enjoyable and successful 99% of the time.

Talk to your crew. Become friends rather than crew leader and crew members.
Take the time to play and try different methods. Be open to crew members suggestions.
Play to your strengths and weaknesses. Nobody likes to admit their weaknesses but if you have a poor driver in your crew don't make them drive. If you have a good pilot don't set them on ground crew etc.
Learn the game. Learn the tricks. For instance, a passenger cannot blow up a vehicle with a crew member in it therefore sticky bombs and grenades are awesome when being chased. No danger of accidental death from close explosions. The driver on the other hand can blow up the vehicle so let them focus on the driving. The exception is the meth tanker, that can be blown up by a crew member. There are more tricks like this but I don't have time to post them all... play and you will learn them.
Above all else, a small, tight crew is better than a large loose one for the most part. However, with a man or two men down it can be annoying.
Mics are NOT required. I have one crew member who has never been on a mic in GTA, at least not to my crew. He is probably the best all rounder in the crew. We know how to play with him, he knows how to play with us, even without any contact. Although contact does help it's not the end of the world and could lose you a great member if you have it as a requirement.
