GTAV: IGN Delivers New Details - First Person Experience Revealed
With exactly two weeks to go until launch, IGN spent some time with the new version of Grand Theft Auto V, including the all-new First Person Mode. Exclusive to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions of Grand Theft Auto V, this new mode gives players the chance to explore the world of Los Santos and Blaine County directly through the eyes of their character, revealing all the world's glorious details in an entirely new way. Available in both GTAV and GTA Online, we've made a host of changes to accommodate this new perspective, including the creation of an optional first person cover system, a new targeting system, a more traditional FPS control scheme, and integrating thousands of new animations into the existing game. It's also available at the touch of a button so you can easily switch back and forth between perspectives.
Alongside the new First Person Mode, Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC features hundreds of additions and enhancements including 1080p resolution at 30FPS on PS4 and Xbox One (4K compatible on PC).

JOHN505553 weeks, 1 day agoReplyFlagGuys,the next gen consoles can't compare to gaming PC's. So imagine how last gen consoles compare. Its a miracle that the game runs on last gen. Listen to everyone else, it just won't work on last gen. The PC version will have better graphics than next gen consoles. Xbox 360 and ps4 are obsolute.

- on February 20 2015, 7:09pmEven deleting some stupid cows deers and goats not all just some but the mountain lion f**k that mountain lion i wish the worst for it always sneaking up on me and further more it would be nice to reattach boats to trailers or haulin the ones you brought from dock tease customizing semi trucks being abled to store both semi and trailers in a garage customizing boats getting to steal or purchase an army boat or driving or storing ships like in gta 4 customizing planes purchasing your own plane fleets and doing transportation to make money getting to own the hydra picking what type of dog you get to own getting to choose if you want your vehicle dropped with hydraulics or putting a lift kit on it or hows about some actual 100% body armor that to is a lie the mechanic says him self that it can with stand a missle the hell it can bullets shoot right through the car and windows and how about the trailers you cant repair them at a shop your garage or a cheat code as well as the semi trailers you cant haul any thing in or on them why even have trailers customizations like spinning rims choosing your size would be nice too the actual gta san andreas had more to offer like the jet pack just saying both the maps are different too so gtav and san andreas are not the same place like you guys said theyed be the observatory should actuslly have a use too as a way to spot these ufos those things were a pain to find kindve just flew into them and being able to order the vehicles you own via phone through michael or trevor would come in handy too a beat up stupidly rusted impala or hippy van is useless to us cant escape the cops in that and whats up with the hospital fees 5000 millionaires cant afford insurance and door ways to tunnels you cant even access USELESS just saying
- on February 20 2015, 6:31pmIf you deleted some stuff like the stupid mountain lion only dispatchin two helicopters at a time not spawning so many planes in the airport making the air port a single strip in stead of two less tattoo parlors because to be real here who goes in them like that deleting the car washes whos using them less haircut places deleting the ammunation that dont have shooting ranges deleting the ability to purchase the golf club cause lets face it for story mode you can never obtain that much cash deleting some of the ships as well as the useless marine army base that has a sub taken apart whats it there for anyways deleting the light house and some of these damn taxis there always in my way and some of these g light school test like taking off its obvious and the stupid ferris wheel its not even fun and some of these stupid clothes stores theres to many they can be fused together and also deduct the amount of soldiers in fort zancudo then the ps3 version can have the stuff like first person mode and the peyote fruit the planes etc..

on December 26 2014, 1:09am@matunias yes but think of how many people dont own the ps3 or xbox 360 it would be a hell of a marketing on retailing out the stuck pile n not eating a couple thousand systems not sold or wont sell now thanks to ps4 being on the market if they did do such they could recoup some of their loss on the money they put into creating the ps4 and sell systems sitting in storage i have business degree argue with that

on December 2 2014, 8:44pmAlright guys, before you comment saying "ADD FIRST PERSON MODE TO MY XBOX 360 OR PS3", read this.
The xbox 360 and Playstation 3 run this game at a lower resolution, and at a lower framerate, The lower resolution, simply means that there are less details(for those of you who don't know what resolution really means), when you move the viewpoint to first person, it makes your camera closer to everything, meaning, you'd be closer to the details, making them look really blurry(think of when you zoom in on a low quality photo online on your computer or phone in real life). First person would not only look bad on Playstation 3 and xbox 360, it would also be more taxing on the the old consoles old hardware(Your phone or computer you are reading this on is more powerful than Xbox 360/ps3).
So to sum this up, First person would 1.) Look bad, as the resolution is lower than Next Gen.
2.) It would run at a lower framerate, because your consoles are old
3.) It would be a big update if they did add it, and it would suffer the previous problems I mentioned, not to mention many other bugs it would possibly cause.
If you want first person mode, start saving up for a next gen console/Computer (or do what I am going to do, get both and enjoy the benefits of console and computer).
- on January 1 2015, 8:04pm@XPurpleJuiceman I don't pretend to know how these games integrate with the hardware but as far as first-person goes on the XBox 360...You can use a scope and zoom in without issue and you can look first person-ish while in a car (from front bumper) or just standing on the street when left inactive (from-eye perspective). I'm not saying there is no difference between these things and true first-person because I have no idea...But from a normal user perspective I admit I don't understand what that difference would be.

The new consoles are in fact 10 times more powerful than the old consoles under the hood of these new consoles they contain features such as an 8-core AMD Jaguar CPU (max 2.7GHz) with an 800MHz AMD Radeon GPU and 8GB of GDDR5 RAM
How in the world would a old console such as a ps3 or xbox360 handle this whist allowing players to play in first person.

on November 27 2014, 7:33am@Lupus1996 Are you legit serious? The hardware on last gen systems is outdated and cannot compare to current gen. X1 and PS4 both have 8GB of ram which is much much more than the 512MB of ram.
Stop pretending like you know what you're talking about. Adding first person to last gen wont work because of the game already pushing the limit of the outdated hardware.
Also the games you're comparing to are games that were built around first person. Gta v is a third person that had an extra mode built in. It's not as simple as just placing some camera on your head and suddenly you're good to go.
The fact you act like you know what you're talking about when you don't pisses me off. Next time use your damn head before trying to sound like you know everything.

Atleast rockstar can release a beta version for ps3 , to which ps3 and xbox360 users can help making it for the last gen! (we arent rich to afford a ps4, as i recently bought ps3 after saving so much and then for a gta 5 , tho it has become so old ) :/

on November 21 2014, 3:21pmYou (Rockstar) seriously need to create an update for PS3 and XBOX 360. We all love the first person shooter style (obviously). But buying a new system for the game update would be awful. Some of us can't afford a $300 or $400 system. It's very expensive and frankly some of us don't have the financial capabilities to buy a whole new system. Especially when we have a bunch of games for our current system. I honestluy dont see a point in having two different systems. I just bought the PS3 and switched over from XBOX because on Playstation you can play online for free. That's a small uprgrade, but I was really hoping to see the GTAV Update on PS3. I was super excited. But no. We don't get what we deserve. All of us gamers wanted this update just as much as anybody else. It looks f**king awesome! We really hope you can open your minds and help us out too.
