The Music of Grand Theft Auto V: Three Volume Digital Album Now Available on iTunes

Posted on September 24 2013, 11:40am | Author: R* Q | Filed Under: Games, Music

Today we're pleased to announce that The Music of Grand Theft Auto V, a trio of distinct albums from Grand Theft Auto V, are available on iTunes for $9.99 each or as a full compilation for $24.99.
The first volume of this compilation is a collection of brand new music from a wide array of artists including Wavves, Twin Shadow and Tyler, The Creator - along with The Chain Gang of 1974's "Sleepwalking", which was featured in the game's Official Trailer.
GTAV is the first entry in the series to feature a dynamic original score composed and engineered to be completely responsive to the player’s actions within both missions and open world gameplay. The score was composed in a one-time collaboration between a team of legendary producers and composers including vanguard German electronic band Tangerine Dream, Woody Jackson (Red Dead Redemption, L.A. Noire) and renowned hip-hop producers The Alchemist and Oh No. For The Music of Grand Theft Auto V: Volume 2, the stems of the game’s interactive score are layered, mixed and arranged into an album of songs by acclaimed producer and DJ, DJ Shadow.
The collection of music in GTAV is the biggest and most ambitious in the history of the series. Volume 3 features select songs from across the game's unique in-game radio stations. Snippets from all 17 in-game radio stations are also now available for your listening pleasure on the Music page on the GTAV official site. Featuring tracks by Bootsy Collins, Flying Lotus, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Jai Paul, Toro y Moi, Waylon Jennings and more.

It would be cool if they made the all the radio stations on albums or cd's

All the music is great, we need more music instead of listening to the same stuff, over and over again.

Some good songs on the radios, but im getting tired of listening to them over and over again. I wish they would include different music in the next update. It would also be nice if you could somehow have a radio station where you can upload your own tracks.

Is William Angio's "This is a Power Ballad" hiding there someplace, perhaps as a bonus track? The world is bereft without it.

Does anybody know where to find music that's NOT on the soundtrack? Specifically I'm looking for the music that plays while Trevor defends the meth lab. Help appreciated. Thanks!

@jackb73 I'm pretty sure that music playing is part of The Score! Best OST in a R* game - Max Payne3 was amazing, but this is even better :)

Any plans for a volume IV/4 (Or more) of the GTA V soundtrack? There's still A LOT of good songs missing. :(

Man i wish Rockstar put this song on GTA V since this song is dope and also brings a great example that relates to heists as well though lol

Why isn't The C90s - Shine A Light (Flight Facilities Remix) not included in the soundtrack? It's only the best song in the entire game.

The first song I searched for was How It Was by Future, (plays on Radio Los Santos), and couldn't find it. Are not all the songs in the game included on the soundtrack?

I also feel suesflange's disappointment about the underwater and flying instrumentals not being included.

Thanks for introducing me to all this music from genres I would never listen to!

Love the soundtrack but I'm disappointed to see the dynamic music when flying or underwater is not included. They are both beautiful compositions that I'd love to have outside of the game. Really hope you guys can put them out there soon,,,,, please don't make me rip them off YouTube ! Thanks guys.

Can we not jus have a huge monster album that has all radio stations on separate discs???? it would be a great collectors edition. instead of three discs of tunes that has hardly any of the great tunes that are in the game!!!!

I was recently sent to the Bad Sport Rooms because I blew up my friends cars as a joke ...No biggie time served . But all day yesterday me and a number of other players I know have been kicked out of races mid match saying due to psn error .. and returned to single player having to re log on .. So for this I became a bad sport not because I blew up someones car ( I learned my lesson ) not because I quit a match ( Which I never would ) but because Rockstars servers booted me out .. How does this make me a BAD SPORT ... So basically anyone can end up here without any reason .... Anyone else experienced this yet ..
