Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories Now Available for Download on PSN

The Rockstar collection of PlayStation 2 Classics on PSN adds two more chapters from the Grand Theft Auto series today, with both Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (USA / Europe) and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (USA / Europe) now available for download on the PlayStation Store.

From the dark, seedy and bustling streets of Liberty City's concrete jungle to the glamorous and hedonistic metropolis of Vice City in the 1980s. Two towns, each brimming with limitless delights and degradation, where anything can happen...

If you missed one of these two Stories when they first came out, or are ready to revisit Toni Cipriani's '98 rise to glory and Victor Vance's '84 tale of Vice - you can now pull them down digitally to your PS3.

Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories are available for $9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99 each. Keep an eye out here on the Newswire for announcements on the future availability of other classic PS2 Rockstar titles to come...

Rockstar, I'm certain I wouldn't be the only person grateful if you put a team on porting the GTA stories games to PC. I'd buy that up in a heartbeat-- half a heartbeat if it were also on Steam! This is coming from a guy who's even previously already purchased these games on PS2 and PSP. I want to support you guys on another platform, you guys are awesome!

I'm mainly a PC gamer these days, so your lack of attention to the PC gaming community is... unsettling. If it's a deal you signed, or there's just not enough money or hours in the day, I understand. But there really hasn't been an explanation why the Stories have been left out.

How is called the song at the mission 'Jive Drive' of Vice City Stories which is always in the radio? I think it's form 'Flash 105'? The song is just great but the mission is just hard :D

Rockstar, now that you have placed your dominance in the console world, do you plan to make an impact on the potable gaming aspect? Rockstar leeds has been apeard to be dormant for four years now, is there a plan for any Vita, 3ds, iOS, or Android releases any time soon?

hey rockstar, I always wanted to know if you could actually get a helicopter on liberty city stories. I see all these videos of people doing it but I think its a cheatdevice. but did you guys actually put a helicopter in the game legit or was it not supposed to happen

This is referring to MAX PAYNE 3, I find it frustrating that i can't remap controller buttons,
as your set up feels like you made it for someone or some people with 6 fingers or an extra pair of thumbs,
                just saying

Rockstar Games, what do you think about this: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=439980
Is that really necessary? As you see, there is many people waiting for a PC version.
Although I have them both for my Play Station 2, I'm still thinking you should make a PC version. Is that so hard?

Between, thank you for all your great games you bring to us, best company ever. We love you.

why is Donald Love changed so much in only about 3 years? in Liberty City Stories he seems a bit stupid and is always nervous like a little boy. but in III he is much more mature, is charismatic and is relaxed. in III you never have the feeling that he don't know what to do. his character changed extremely. why?

Just a question, why not for Xbox 360?

@313411 Hey mate, please see our yellow comment just below. To restate, we're a bit busy developing GTAV, and creating Liberty/Vice City Stories for PSN was easy since it was originally only available for PSP and PS2.

I can only speak for liberty city stories but heed the warning everyone, the framerate is horrible!!! I contacted rockstar support as advised a few times on this page and in all fairness they respond amazingly quickly.. However they seem to be keen to just give generic advice on resetting the ps3 and reinstalling the game and don't seem to accept its an issue with the game. I've tried it on 2 consoles now and lag is the same on both. With this in mind and going off some of the comments here's, just be warned that as it stands it really is a nightmare to play through the lag! Hopefully something is done about it soon but for 7.99 you expect better!! My psp runs it better than this!!

GTA Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories lags like crazy. The game is unplayable with these lags.
