Interviews with Rockstar: Looking Back for Vice City's 10th Anniversary

As part of the celebration for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City's 10th anniversary, the team at Rockstar North took a look back at the creation of the game with a series of interviews across the web. Head over to Digital Trends, Crave Online and T3.com to read all about Rockstar North's personal experiences in developing the Grand Theft Auto game that - only one year removed from the launch of Grand Theft Auto III - tipped the series from a groundbreaking new game experience to a full-on cultural phenomenon. Here's an excerpt from Crave Online's interview with Rockstar North Art Director, Aaron Garbut:
“For Vice City, there were a lot of moments that just clicked. When we first blocked in the map and drove about it for the first time; when we put in the helicopters and flew over the city; seeing the dancers in the club; driving down Ocean Drive at night; putting in the hardware store for all the less conventional weapon; the first time we had the player change clothes; driving over ramps in boats; smashing up a car with a hammer for the first time; being chased by golfers as I ran off in their golf cart; seeing the models of Love Fist for the first time; driving around on a moped the day they went in… It’s 10 years ago but these and so many other moments are still clear. It’s fantastic seeing a game evolve, especially when it happens quickly. Seeing everything click into place, having the opportunity to poke and prod it, try things out and learn from it all. Tiny things can be seminal moments.”

achievements do not matter but even simple ones like , complete gta 3 - 100G and beat vice city 100G and then the last 800 could be like : Get All Packages 50G in VC and %)G for III Then 100G for Getting All Packages in Both , then Unlock All Islands on both games 50G :D EPIC , LOVE YOU GUYS , YOUR MY CHILDHOOD
Vice City was released at 2002 and R* started making it in Feb 2001 and took only 9 months to complete the game if it was released in 2000 then, vice city 10 yr anniversary was being at 2010. 1014454829
Also, as someone said above, a mash up of all three classic maps in one would be a dream. A new character meeting the king of each town(Mute, Tommy and CJ) and working for them. Now that would be more exciting than GTAV!
It was my favorite when i was 15, playing it again with improved hd graphics (the water is beautifull) brings back those times from when i came back from school and played vice city 10 years ago!
It runs perfect on the ipad mini, and i even sold my ps vita today because the ipad mini is so much more fun and especially with this game! so i hope in the future you guys bring gta san andreas to ios.

If none of you have seen at least one episode from Miami Vice than you have no taste in 'good' TV Shows. Which is sadly missing in today's society with crap shows like Jersey Shore, Teen Mom, et cetera... I mean, what the hell? There will NEVER be a show like Vice EVER AGAIN in our existance. Period
Can't believe Leslie said this! :)
but Love 2 and we can see that Rockstar is quality GTA to GTA vai always evolving and mark generations and people true classics :)
Rockstar Games synonymous of quality :)

1. The Avery 'Demolition' mission is impossible to complete because 2 missions overlap on top of eachother, causing 2 helicopters and so forth. Suddenly the mission fails.
2. While flying the helicopter, the mission fades and says the helicopter crashed eventhough it didn't.
3. characters, vehicles, etc constantly go transparent when the light hits them. often the people are ghosts in the cutscenes.
