Max Payne 3 Painful Memories DLC Out Now: Details on New Weapons, Items and More...
Available today across all platforms, the Painful Memories multiplayer DLC for Max Payne 3 packs plenty of punch with four new maps, two new avatar factions plus a host of new items for your arsenal. The pack is now available for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE and $9.99 on PlayStation Network and PC. Players who purchased the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass can download the pack free of charge. The Rockstar Pass is currently available for 2400 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE) or $29.99 on PSN/PC. Here's a rundown of what you can expect in the pack:
NEW MAPS: CANAL DE PANAMÁ, MARTY'S BAR, ROSCOE STREET SUBWAY & SHOOT FIRST
Four new multiplayer maps that hark back to Max's blood-stained past, including the subway station from the original Max Payne, a new Hoboken-based location that contains the full layout from Marty's Bar and the surrounding areas and two new maps from the Panama chapter with an all new Gang Wars scenario.
NEW AVATAR FACTIONS: DE MARCOS ABROAD & UNITED SOULS OF THE PEOPLE
Members of the ruthless De Marco crime family (featuring the faces of the four lucky Social Club members from our DLC Casting Event) and the vicious Panamanian paramilitary group The United Souls of The People.
NEW WEAPON: THE UAR-21 ASSAULT RIFLE + SUPPRESSOR & RED DOT SIGHT
The standard military issue UAR-21 is durable, lightweight and can withstand any urban combat scenario. The rapid-fire release will increase your mobility while still providing you with the accuracy to cover the distance of the sprawling new maps.
NEW WEAPON: THE IMG 5.56 ASSAULT RIFLE + RED DOT SIGHT
The IMG 5.56 can squeeze off 45 rounds a clip and is even more accurate than an AK-47. Throw in its use by military and police around the world and this is a no-brainer upgrade for your current Assault Rifle Loadout.
NEW BURST:

NEW ITEMS
There are three new items in the Painful Memories pack which will help you with kills, cash flow and protection:
- Much more than an adding machine, the Calculator turns your assists into kill stats and pads your kill stats by earning one kill for every two assists that you tally.
- Earn money for kills by your teammates with the Betting Slip. Each time one of your teammates logs a successful kill you will add funds to your coffers.
- The Hip Flask protects you from sniper fire and stops all effects of the Hangover Burst. Each time you spawn you'll be protected from a single round from an enemy's sniper rifle.
Make sure to check out the Painful Memories page at the official Max Payne 3 site for all the details on the new Multiplayer Achievements/Trophies and Grinds as well as some new screenshots.

I ask for help: I just want to play 1 Payne Killer game on Panama Canal map to get the Long Arm of the Lawless trophy. I downloaded the maps a couple of weeks ago, and I have been waiting for hours to someone to enter Payne Killer game and choose the Panama Canal map, but after 10 hours waiting, nobody joined this map on this game variant.
Please, add me to play Payne Killer on Panama Canal map. PSN ID: tulkastor
Looks like nowadays you are rated as an idiot if you do not get as much money as you can, and you can acces to any method you want for that purpose. I also love games for this company, but this is my opinion. Creating a game with differnet kind of users, creates different status for gamers, who are all humans. Looks like there is not many people playing Max Payne 3, but if you keep all them on four groups ( soft aim with DLCs, soft aim without DLCs, and same for free aim ), then you creat gettos. I wouldn't like this even there would be many people playing this game. I think you should realease the complete game, and if you put DLCs, those should be free for all the people who bought the game; because those who buy this game, we just want to enjoy it on it's full version.
Sorry but fedup with poorly made online games . From now on I will not support games using "Peer2peer" and will not support games that only push for typical online .
Oh look a M4 lets unlock a scope *rolls eyes*
After reading all of the comments on this thread, I don't want to add on to the burden you already have to carry on your backs but... The Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack can't be your last dlc for this game. You still have the Trickle Down Economics Pack and the New York Minute Co-op Pack to release. If The Deathmatch Made In Heaven Mode Pack is definitely your last, then at least add some really needed patches to this game. This is something that is extremely irritating and seems to get you killed unnecessarily all of the time, especially on soft lock in the Hoboken Alleys. Everytime you press the reload button and you're trying to walk up the steps facing forward or walk through a doorway sideways, you won't be able to move through until the reload animation is done, by that time you've given the enemy a long enough time window to attack, then you're really done! To be able to walk up the steps you'd have to face back and walk backwards, same if you're trying to go through the doorway. Like I said before, you guys already have a lot of problems to deal with, so i'd pay this less attention but there are a lot of people besides myself who are having the same issue, but frankly, i'm used to it, so it really is no biggie from my part. Sorry for not going directly to Mouthoff but I can't ever seem to send what i'm trying to write, technical difficulties from my part and thanks again Rockstar for your consideration :)
But i mean no disrespect and im just trying to let you guys know what most gamers are thinking and i support you guys all the way thats why i pre-ordered Grand Theft Auto V and because your the best games company out there! :D
Cheers and Happy New Years to Take Two, Rockstar and all the Rockstar studios.
I liked Max Payne 1 and 2, and still don't understand why MP3 was released with soft and hard lock for single player and soft lock for multiplayer. I also think this game should be released on it's full version, but some DLCs appeared. I knew few people was playing free aiming, but I decided to get those DLCs. As I supossed, I am along to play DLC content on free aim. I thought more people would play this video game, but I still think MP3 should be just free aiming on the multiplayer mode.
Greets.
But people is proud being the highest killer of the game, and in my opnion, it is the people who made this wonderful game boring, just to be the best on each game ; thinks like beautiful cinematic Bullet Time* scenes, thinks like the grinds, thinks like the trophies, thinks like having some laughs, that doesn't matter in this society: you just have to get most kills in the game, all the time in the same way, of course.
I don't think the multiplayer hosting is properly implemented. I always get severe lag cuz I'm always connected to someone in the other side of the world.

UAR-21's scope is not missing in the configuration menu. It is missing in game. I tried toggling it on and off but the crosshairs just expand a little but no scope.
UAR-21's scope attachment does not work when equipped. I un-installed and re-installed the game today plus I verified game cache via Steam too but the scope for UAR-21 is still missing.
Ever since I started playing Max Payne 3 multiplayer people quit mid-game, it was annoying but it happens. Lately though people have been quitting in large masses sometimes everyone in the game near the end of the match...leaving me there without anything to show for it. I purpose that you make it so that 2 or 3 minutes after the start of each match (team dm, and deathmatch) you cannot leave the match. To be honest you have one of the skechiest online multiplayer set-ups I've ever seen. Games like the call of duty franchise dont need to worry about this because their games are really good and they fix their issues right away. This game is struggling though, so another proposal would be just make the game better. Stop introducing more bursts, stop adding bad weapons and even out the specs of some weapons that are either far too powerful (sawed off shotgun at long range) or fix up the entire movement system. Your avatars get caught on the smallest things and cant move properly and then you become an easy target. It's as if they weigh a thousand pounds. The physics are just awful. But for now deal with the quitters, they make your game THAT much more crappy. I know GTAV is coming out in the next bit, but until then fix Max Payne 3, after GTAV comes out you can stop dealing with Max Payne, not that you do anyways. Once GTAV comes out nobody will be playing Max Payne anymore and your in the clear.
This is what they wrote back to me saying, and for every support request its more or less the same thing:
We hope your experience with Rockstar exceeded your expectations and your issue was resolved quickly and effectively.
Remember that you are free to re-open your ticket at any time if you are still having problems and we can provide further assistance. Note that all feedback you provide below goes directly to Rockstar Games headquarters, so let us know what you really think of us!
Anyways that was it. Thats all they sent. They are supposed to send this after they've dealt with the issue. I did not receive any other email relating to this request I sent or a comment in the "My request" section of the support site. R* you have the worst support team I've experienced, you could learn a lot from McDonalds even.
You don't even have a forum, at least one thats easily accessible. Your lack of transparency is mind boggling.
Anyway, ultimately this game sucks. It was great when it first came out, but has quickly gone down hill. I complained to Rockstar about a few things that I am about to go over, and there response is exactly the same as the one they've given you. Same goes for when I continue to complain about ISO mods and modders freezing our consoles on Red Dead for the 360. They just send me a message that says they hope I have a satisfactory experience, like a dentist giving you a root canal and then asking you how you felt he did. Or a proctologist, in the case of this DLC fiasco...
Anyway, this DLC is a joke. Anytime I join a game, people vote to play the same maps (Piers and Branco HQ), and when I go to DLC only, I get stuck playing Painkiller. The pass was a complete waste, if you ask me. I've never seen so many people get DLC and then choose not to use it. It's absurd... So I guess, ultimately it's not the game that sucks, it's the people playing it.
I look forward to GTA5. It will hopefully get more attention and better support as it's a top tier title.
Playning Free-Aim now. Paynekiller mind haha! Dlc maps too.
either way for the people that dont have these dlc's.. it really sucks cause i had every dlc installed except for the last one, i couldnt purchase it at the time... and the game was working half for me and it just felt unfair..i couldnt join a game like half of the times i tried.... and competing with a guy carrying calculators is unfair all the way... i
did not know they would take this route when i got the game for like 60 or 50€... now if you count the dlc's with that its 100€... that just goes too far for me R*... i mean 10 dollars is nothing to me but did you really had to make it 10?? why couldnt you make it 5.. you should've released some of that with the game...cause if you put all those dlc's together its another 50 bucks....and after 3 or 4 games i kinda had it anyway... so it just sucks
We do have appreciation for you coming here on the comments and giving us your input. It's direct from our players, most of which are really dedicated to the game, and we absolutely will value it going forward. If any of this sounds a bit too much like a customer service rep or a salesperson, we don't mean to give that impression. We want you and everyone else to enjoy the game.
Is the final DLC still on track? Any chance it will be released before the end of the year? I'm really looking forward to the COOP mode and have been ever since it was first announced, I think it'll add a whole new dimension to the game. COOP Max Payne shootouts will be one of the best things ever, and since sometimes its hard to find full servers it'll be great to have a backup gametype to jump into without a minimum player requirement. The coop is still part of the final DLC right?
And is there any chance we'll ever get Aesyr Corp. lobby or the parking garage from Max Payne 1 or the Hosptial level from Max Payne 2 as multi maps? Those would be amazing and drastically different from any of the levels already in the game.
Thanks.
