Max Payne 3 Title Update Now Available for Download

Update: This is now available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 worldwide.

In preparation for next week's release of the Hostage Negotiation Pack, a new automatic title update is now available for Max Payne 3 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This update also addresses some technical issues including the following:

  • General improvements to multiplayer, improving overall stability and matchmaking efficiency
  • Added the option to copy one of your Loadouts into an empty custom slot
  • Fixed an issue where wins and losses were reported incorrectly on leaderboards
  • Fixed an issue where explosive kills were not working as intended in Arcade Mode
  • Fixed an issue where newly created Crews and Emblems would not always appear in-game
  • Fixed an issue where dual wielding the PT92 and .38 revolver and firing until the ammunition runs out could cause the weapons to jam

      i Brought the game but i cant activate it.
      i could download 2 patch
      but at 3. (1.0.0.78)
      the auto updater cant download the patch

          This invisibility thing is getting to be unbearable. I'm a huge fan and love playing your games, but I've found myself not even wanting to play MP3 because every single game i go into has one or more of these low level hacks that you can't see, shoot, target, etc.... what's the deal, rockstar? this has been going on for a while now. not only is it annoying, it's ruining K-D ratios, running people off the game , and making it no fun at all. official statement, please. my own theory is that maybe your lobbies are running together somehow. like... it always seems to be really low level players, maybe they're still supposed to be in the newb lobby but for some reason are leaking into normal lobbies and that's causing the whole problem? i dunno. just my theory. PLEASE fix this. k thanks.

            @thelastmachine oh, and just an FYI to anyone who has been taking advantage of this problem. if you find yourself invisible, you need to reboot your system or something. try something. don't just keep playing. even if you really didn't do anything on purpose to make it that way, to keep playing and go about slaughtering everyone is EXPLOITING a problem and that is CHEATING. so.... yeah. F off and die. please. thanks.

            rock star i have spend so much money buying your game and all of the dlc maps etc... i have send an e mail to the support complaining about invisible people in the game and did not get no where.....
            i will tell u how it is,the game become unplayable and i want to know if you guys are going to fix this glitch in the game other wise i will stop playing the game for good.

            I've contacted the support staff from both R*'s site and the mail adress.
            Last time it took them two weeks to get back at me, at which point I'd sold my game.
            Now I bought it again thinking maybe they've fixed things up.
            Been trying to download the patch for 3 hours. Keep getting a network error. Nothing wrong with my connection, just downloaded a dlc pack off PSN.
            Come on Rockstar, you have got to be kidding me.

              are pistols going to be made weaker? they do more damage than most the assault rifles. i must of posted about a million comments saying down-grade the pistols. every mvp i see at the end of a game uses dual wield pistols. if you ask me the overpowered pistols are the reason hardly anyone plays this games multiplayer. At the most there was like 1400 people online on xbox last night. i went on mw3 the same night and there was one million and something people online. I think this game is the best shooter ever made and i cant stop playing it but its let down by the terrible balancing of weapons. also female characters are like twice as hard to shoot because theyre so small yet they dont have any less health but i know there isn't really anything that can be done about that now. rant over.

                @Burchmore5000132 Yea man there is nothing worse than a female avatar with a light loadout in free aim. I hate when some scrub is using it. The only way to compete is to do it yourself it sucks.

                  @Dino_jaram The update did nothing. I get stuck next to walls and have to leave the game or get killed to be free. I had the Max Payne 3 game jest freeze up my new out of box $300 dollar Slim PS3. And I've had a support request open for months on the problems with Max Payne 3 pulling me out of games. And now wheres the new DLC. What's with this Rock Star???????????

                I've been playing Max Payne 3 with no problems, but this week I can't get online, in-game store is greyed out, and when I click multiplayer it says I can play only Lan. Now I've re-installed the game and can't activate it because I can't connect to Social Club anymore. I need help asap, I want to play the game, already missed the event on friday. What can I do?

                Hey just to let you know, this new update might have made some players invisible. I know that one of the older updates did this, and then you fixed it... The Xbox gamertag "Busstavo" has been invisible the past few days and has played a lot. He knows he is invisible so takes full advantage by running round and meleeing people. Please figure this out and fix it ASAP

                When will you patch the titles? Everytime I play I have the recheck my title (eventhough its already checked) before I start a match if I want it to show up. Will there ever be an update that makes the chosen title display all the time as long as its selected? It gets really annoying always having to reselect it. Everytime I restart my console, quit to play another game, go from campaign to multi, etc. I always have to reset it.

                One last thing, when will the Hoboken Alleys/Tenements be patched so that the windows by the stairs on the top floor will break? It doesnt make siense that on every other floor of the tenements the windows can be shot out of but on the top floor of either buliding the window by the stairs is unbreakable for no reason. Ive missed plenty of kills because of this and Im sure Im not the only one. Thanks.
