Presenting the unveiling of the official cover art for Red Dead Redemption, which features reformed outlaw John Marston drawing a sawn-off shotgun as he embarks on his quest to tame the last vestiges of bedlam across the American frontier and bury his own blood-stained past, one man at a time.

Look for Red Dead Redemption on shelves May 18, 2010 for North America and May 21, 2010 in Europe.

Desktop wallpaper and Twitter background versions are now available from the Game Wallpaper Collection section of the Downloads page and at the official Red Dead Redemption website, where you can also pre-order your copy.

The offical art cover is okay but i like the other one at the begin--- when marston has his hat on and pointing the revoler that one is cooler

Why did you change covers, Rockstar? Not really too wild over this new one. The revised Revolver and Hat one is so much nicer. What is the unique packaging for the Pre-Order Gamestop Special Edition?

I agree I really love this art, I especially love John's expression, it looks as if he has pity for whoever Is staring at the other side of the shotgun, but also it looks like John's thinking, he had it comin to him. bravo to the artist of this piece! I am glad they didn't just do another gta boxart where there I a bunch of pics all together.

What!!!??? this Cover Art Kicks Ass! It plays into the time period and history of the game...It is set at the end of the old west, as "we" (America) are transitioning from the old west, to a more modern, sophisticated world...Brilliant Rockstar, brilliant! It has a action/fluidity to it...I like to imagine that Marston just got knocked down, his hat has fallen off and he's is grabbing his sawed off shotgun while leaning back and pulling the trigger on one of his foes...

Love the silhouette of the American flag and riders on horseback...

and, all and all, who gives too big of a s**t about the "box art" . You play the game, not stare at the box and thumb through the instruction manual, right?

Can't wait for this! I'm sooo psyched!

I don't like it the old was much better. The old one gave off more of an outlawish nitty gritty western theme.

@RCogburn

Thanks for the Feedback! Really appreciate it! My brother-in-law and Brother both have 360's and they seem pleased...who knows they might even let me borrow one :) I'm going to check out the Playstation 3 as well...pricing and all that good stuff...

Like you, this will be my last game for who knows how long. I'm getting too old have too many responsibility to be gaming all the time :( Have to get this title though...way too obsessed with History and The Wild West to pass this one up. Thanks again, and have fun playing!

We're still constructing the site at the moment.

This is a group of outlaws that just want to have fun in RDR when it comes out. We're planning all kinds of cool stuff like competitions, tournaments, a ranking system, etc.

This is not a clan. We are just building a community of RDR players that like to have fun, and play together. We could battle other posses should any other ones form.
