Announcing Max Payne 3 Multiplayer Downloadable Content Details

Today we're happy to announce Max Payne 3 downloadable content plans with a full lineup of multiplayer content planned for release this summer and beyond, starting with the Local Justice Map Pack coming in June. Players will also be able to order the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass to get all of the upcoming DLC at a special discounted rate, compared to purchasing each pack individually. Starting today, the Rockstar Pass can be pre-ordered for Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network from Best Buy or GameStop (PSN/XBL) in the United States (or pre-ordered for PSN directly from the PlayStation Store).

The Rockstar Pass grants you access to all upcoming Max Payne 3 DLC and will be available for 2400 Microsoft Points (Xbox LIVE), or $29.99 (PlayStation Network and PC) – over a 35% discount compared to purchasing the content individually. Once purchased, the Rockstar Pass enables gamers to download all DLC releasing through the end of 2012 via the in-game store as soon as it is made available on Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, or PC.

The Local Justice Map Pack, coming in June, will include the Police Precinct map for Gang Wars, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer multiplayer modes. The pack will also feature two additional maps for Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Payne Killer, new precinct-themed multiplayer avatar items, multiplayer challenges, and more.

        hey R*, if you guys are going to make a singleplayer dlc for MP3, like you did with GTA IV and RDR, make an alternative storyline. it would be nice see Max Payne end up somewhere like LA instead of taking private security work in brazil. In addition, PLEASE ACTUALLY MAKE THE STORY TRUE TO NOIR AND NOT ACTION LIKE THE BASE GAME.

        Hey R* im loving the mutiplayer but since patch 1.04 ive been getting freezes and glitches. when i dual weild only one handgun will fire.. sometimes when i kill someone it doesnt show points coming to me.. i see other players avatars get stuck in a wall and their guns stay shooting making it impossible to go anywhere near them or you die. i cant kill them either to make them stop. also when i kill someone and they go down, they dont really die. please fix this. otherwise its been an amazing experience! also it says the N J cemetary is locked. please make it where anyone can play it in gang wars. tdm, and dm as metioned before. thanks for a great game. keep up the good work

          I just checked in-game DLC store and it doesn't show DLC Local Justice Pack it shows only gorilla warfare pack which i have already downloaded. Damn why always i have to suffer this dlc thing :D

            Some people like soft lock. If you take away soft lock, R* ends up with a bunch of angry consumer that would likely vow never to purchase R* games again. Besides if you like Free Aim, then play it. Why worry about soft lock? Seems a bit Lame to me.

              Bad news...Xbox Marketplace was updated today for game add-ons and Max Payne 3 was not there. Looks like we will have to wait until July. In that case we should be able to get a refund on the Rockstar pass.

                @Dukeofibanez Right, I mean I want to support Rockstar and all but seriously, if it says june then it should be released in june. Especially since they haven't announced a delay, I get that they are a very quiet company but this is getting ridiculous.

                Well atleast they put up the update now, hopefully the game will be less glitchy now. I love this game but Rockstar should really get better at informing us what's what. Like.... Will there be any new trophies/achievements with these DLC's?

R* u might want to go ahead and remove that post if its not gona come out this month. or maybe post some information on an actual release date or let us know wat is going on. bought the R* pass and starting to regret it.                       I'll admit, I'm getting a little antsy about the lack of any new info on these releases. I bought the R* pass because, - based on what was said of the DLC plans for this game - I expected to be getting new pieces of DLC at a fairly fast rate throughout the next several months. Seeing as how one had already been announced for June but still hasn't seen the light of day yet, I'm starting to worry that we won't actually be seeing some of these until well after they were planned to be released. I realize that "Summer" and "Fall" actually last quite a while, but without any information on exact release schedules or even what most of these packs will include, it's starting to seem like we'll be waiting a lot longer for some of these than we'd expected.
