GTA IV has a much smaller map and its freemode detail is raped down compared to the singleplayer. For example pedestrians and vehicles don't spawn as a result of location anymore because different people go to different area.
Additionally, it is much easier to make areas like Algonquin than areas like areas like Vice Beach because they have to detail roads and beaches while they can just blur apt. complexes because of the consistency.
Even though large fields sound boring look at sky scrapers, even when they are accessible they are extremely consistent.
Also, look at how they are broadcasting the Fallout 3 like encounters in SP. Do you actually think they will make an appearance on MP?
Either way like 60% of online fun will be up to the players.
PS R* - Police RPGing is always fun.
Surprised you decided to let Gamespot put up your new video before you posted it here. Either way, it's very good and tells me that there's some depth to this game (a.k.a. the storyline).
Plus I am very impressed with your attention to detail. The American flag has the proper number of stars on it. I got excited when I saw it, hoping to catch you in a mistake. Bravo!

freemode was a multiplayer mode in Gta where there is no objective to it, no points, you pretty much do whatever you wanted to do, and in my opinion was the best multiplayer mode in GtaIV
I agree, you should be able to have up to (about) 7 people or less? And I still want a pet wolf for attacking enemys (Like in Dead to Rights) that'd would be cool...
I know it's not likely, I'm just hoping for it anyways.
P.S. Is your primary language english?
Cuz R* wants make outstanding game not next Saint Rows on wild west.
and even look at game title Redemption, this is Redeption for Red Dead Revolver Bloopers
but multiplayer co-op could be fun.
This game is shaping up to be amazing.
This is Sandbox game!!
not like Red dead revolver where u got only levels and level changes after mission.
Red Dead redemption is free roaming games u can do missions or ride on whole map.
basically u do what u want to do.
I think what he means is having the freedom to do whatever you want around the map after the story missions are over.
The structure of GTA is you travel to a location on the map, do a mission that usually involves driving somewhere and killing someone, and then do it all over again to advance the story.
After the missions are done you have the entire map to drive around on. There usually isn't much to do after the story. San Andreas had some gambling in Las Venturas and there might have been some races to do. GTA IV wasn't much better with most of the side-missions not being repeatable and leaving little to do after you completed the missions. Gay Tony is a bit better with some side-missions that can continue after you complete the important part, but they're very repetitive. The multi-vehicle races are probably the best part about Gay Tony, but there's only three of them that run the same route each time you do them.
Redemption seems to be bringing more to the table as well as adding some quality non-story content to the wilds of the American west. I just hope the farmer-needs-help-to-find-daughter missions aren't all the same structure. I'm waiting for someone to develop an A.I. that comes up with original missions on the fly. Obviously you're limited on what audio was recorded in the studio, but surely there are more than 3-4 ways to do something.
I don't know if I answered your question but that's basically it. "Free mode" is literally the ability to wonder around the map and do whatever you want (in this case steal horses, chase down bandits for a bounty, find the farmer's daughter... etc.)
Free mode? Would you please explain, I never played GTA (My mom heard you play as a criminal stealing cars and it was a insta no) I'm guessing "Free Mode" is a mode where it just adds two playable charecters to the story missions... Like Co-op throughout the campaign/main game.

Yeah, I'd love to see a bow for silent kills! Maybe an outfit that give you invisibility that rechanrges like Dead Eye.
On Twitter, R* said there would be a new video this coming week.
