By entering the unique code that comes included with your GameStop pre-order of Red Dead Redemption, you'll will add a set of 5 challenges to Marston's journal. Completing these challenges will unlock the outfit for use along with its specific gameplay advantages.
Outfits play an important role in the world of Red Dead Redemption, and while the winning outfit in the Red Dead Referendum will be exclusive to GameStop customers that pre-order the game, there are many additional outfits the player can unlock in the game, each with their own set of challenges and unique rewards.

And I agree with DeafAtheist they already have them in the game so I doubt they will discard them i just hope they don't make them exclusives for other stores because even though I don't like the way the first one looks it would be useful to have so hopefully they will just be included with the game or as DLC when the game ships.
I too am waiting for a confirmation one way or the other on a Collector's Edition before i pre-order so please let us know Rockstar. I doubt there will be one because I don't remember them ever doing it before but just about every game is doing it now so please let us know soon. Keep up the good work R*.
I'm wondering if any of the extra outfit challenges can be done prior to doing the main storyline or if you have to do the main story first?
I pre-ordered the game about a month before the vote started so I'll be getting the winning outfit.
I'm greatly looking forward to this game. It looks like it's going to be an incredible game.
