Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition for Android Updated with Additional Device Support and More

The Android version of Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition has been updated today to version 1.3, featuring new support for the Asus Transformer Prime and Medion LifeTab tablet devices plus a host of other updates, including:

  • The addition of Integrated with Immersion Haptic Vibration Feedback
  • The ability to tailor your visual experience with new video display settings
  • The ability to install the game to an SD memory card
  • Improved controls for Xperia Play and supported gamepads plus full support for the GameStop Wireless Game Controller
  • Additional technical fixes

To update your game just hit up the Android Market where you'll be prompted to download the latest version. An update for the iOS version is also in the works, stay tuned as we’ll have more information on that soon.

Prior to patch 1.3 using a wired Xbox 360 controller, when I drove cars, the right trigger was the accelerator. Now the accelerator is Button A. The shoulder buttons used to switch between weapons, now the triggers do. Did you change the button mapping intentionally? It felt better before. Custom button mapping would be much better.

Thanks for the patch Rockstar. It feels good playing with the traditional controls on my Xperia Play again. The only problem is that it lags sometimes when there is a lot of shooting going on. It does run better than before though.

The patch is great, I've one addition only. Could you make it possible in the next patch/some quick-fix for Xperia Play that the player could aim in 1st person using the left analog, instead of right? Aiming with d-pad is very inaccurate and you use your right thumb to shoot, so it's not comfortable to switch the right thumb from the right analog to circle and back every time you want to aim and shoot.

Please add official support for Galaxy S GT-I9000. The audio folder is causing massive lags unless we rename or delete it, then the game runs smooth. Please please please.
