L.A. Noire PC Previews from GameSpot, G4 & GamesRadar

Posted on September 30 2011, 12:00pm | Author: R* Q | Filed Under: Games

Gaming sites across the web recently got a chance to check out the upcoming L.A. Noire: The Complete Edition for PC - here's a snapshot of what they had to say:

"L.A. Noire for the PC has boosted visuals, 3D support, and all the preorder bonuses and downloadable content seen on the console versions. For those who've been holding out for a PC version of L.A. Noire, fleeing spoiler-packed discussions at the water cooler since the console release in May, the wait is nearly at an end... Resolutions get a boost in the translation from the console version, too. When we sampled the game, playing through the Nicholson Electroplating case on the Arson Desk, the streets of Los Angeles benefited from these the most. The case begins with a catastrophic explosion at an electroplating plant and, as Detective Phelps arrives on the scene, the scorched streets looked especially striking." - GameSpot

"...the first thing I noticed was that this PC version looked nicer; the textures were more detailed, the animation more fluid, and the 3-D effect added a nice depth to everything, especially when there were some foreground objects present." -
GamesRadar

"it’s clear that Rockstar Leeds has done a lot of work to not only polish the already sharp visuals to a pristine shine but to ensure the 3D effect doesn’t feel intrusive but rather subtly enhances the overall experience. When Phelps and Biggs hop into their car to race towards the massive explosion that opens the [Nicholson Electroplating] case, 1947 Los Angeles really comes to life." - G4

The PC game sounds great and all, but what about a possible revise or something for the PS3 in the future - without having to be forced to go internet for everything? I'm sorry but the game is a little lacking. No fault of R* But being a leader comes with a price.
