L.A. Noire "The Consul's Car" Traffic Bonus Case Now Available for Download Worldwide on PlayStation Network

Posted on July 29 2011, 12:50pm | Author: R* Q | Filed Under: Games

In a dusty backlot, a gleaming new model car sits abandoned. Without an owner, without license plates, without even a full complement of wheels, the car could be headed for the scrapyard and the case for a dead end. But detectives do have one lead – the vehicle is registered to the Argentinean Consulate of Los Angeles.

Originally only available with the North American PlayStation 3 version of L.A. Noire, you can now download "The Consul's Car" Traffic desk bonus case on both the North American and European PlayStation Store for $3.99/£3.19/€3.99.  Please note, this case is not included as part of the Rockstar Pass DLC and must be purchased separately.

Xbox 360 players, we’re actively working to bring the “Consul’s Car” case to you all too - we are in discussion with Microsoft to see about arranging for availability on Xbox LIVE. The case was originally commissioned by Sony North America as an exclusive bonus for PS3 players, but as you know we always do our best to ultimately make all our content available to everyone whenever it is possible.

TO DOWNLOAD ON PLAYSTATION NETWORK
Once you've registered for a PlayStation Network account you can then scroll to the PlayStation Network icon on your XMB and select PlayStation Store. "The Consul's Car" case is available from the Add-On section.

Is this ever coming to xbox 360 as dlc ? Really dont feel like buying the game for a 2nd time it would be waste of money.

From the looks of how old this post is and related ones it seems like getting this onto the Live Market Place is a failure, meaning that anyone who wants it THAT badly will need to buy the complete edition in order to play that ONE extra case. Good going R*, my faith is once again pissed away.

Hi R* do you have any updated news about how the talks are going with MS? I would love to get ahold of this DLC even if its a short case. This game is just that much fun to play. I have an xbox 360 and will never buy a PS3 even tho they have games i would love to play, so if there are any updates good or bad please let me know. I am letting you know where i stand with consoles. (I am a PC gamer and MS is lucky to have me for a xbox customer)

            Thanks

Any more information... even if SONY wants to exclude this from North America, can't it still be released in the rest of the world?

I don't mind it not being in the R* Pass, and willing to pay MS Points... but come on... there are a lot of people waiting for this!

Like the other DLC cases, I had a blast with this one. I hope in the future more there will be more DLC cases, I would gladly buy them.

Great game. This provided hours of entertainment for me and the wife (who was actually better at reading the faces during interrogations). Sorry to hear there is no more DLC but I am very satisfied with the value of this product.

"@ForzaBarca The DLC announced here is all that was planned for L.A. Noire:
                                    http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/16561/announcing-la-noire-downloadable-content-details.html"

That's really disappointing considering the game alone offers little to no replayability, no online play, a very restricted free roam (very stunting to a supposed open-world experience) and only the beginning of what should have been plenty more DLC to come.

I understand that there is a lot of emphasis on the detail and single player experience which is wonderful. But, by today's standards and especially Rockstar's standards this game's story mode can be played 1-2 times, 3 tops as really the only meat of gameplay and then we have a paperweight.

I'm sure you can't comment directly, but my assumption would be DLC died out because this game barely got made in the first place and because of the bad blood with Team Bondi. Whatever the case, the ball got dropped by someone.

This is a wonderful game, but considering the lack of gameplay time we should have gotten a lot of substantial DLC for free or very cheap for some time to come. The hype for this game died very quickly. This game didn't seem to get enough love. I see more effort going into merchandising for it than DLC and that's the truth... why ever it went the way it did.

                                    Thanks

R* it is pity cuz i loved this game very much but i hope you'll think more and finally in a month or more you'll announce another dlc.
P.s. thanks for doing such beautiful games:))

I'm very happy to hear Rockstar's still trying to make sure their Xbox 360 customers aren't forgotten. Even if discussions with Microsoft and Sony don't work out, I appreciate that you at least took the time to try getting that DLC to us 360 owners.
