L.A. Noire Official Soundtrack CD Now Available at the Rockstar Warehouse

Posted on July 8 2011, 1:57pm | Author: R* W | Filed Under: Games, Music

Previously available only as a download through iTunes in North America and Europe, you can now pick up the L.A. Noire Official Soundtrack CD digipak, complete with detailed liner notes and L.A. Noire artwork exclusively at the Rockstar Warehouse. The CD is priced at $7.99, which incidentally is also the new sale price for downloading the digital version (shipping and handling fees of course apply for purchasing the CD).

Inspired by the sweeping orchestral scores from the great films of the 1940s, L.A. Noire's original score was composed by Andrew Hale along with Simon Hale and was recorded in the same Abbey Road Studios that are credited for the innovative recording techniques adopted by The Beatles, and Pink Floyd. Additional music was composed for the score by Woody Jackson, who has won numerous awards as co-writer on the original score of Red Dead Redemption.

Visit www.rockstargames.com/lanoire/soundtrack to listen to samples from the album, as well as from the Verve Records L.A. Noire Remixed Project - a collection of jazz classics from the game's soundtrack re-interpreted by some of today's most acclaimed DJs, producers and remixers (available for download through iTunes in North America and Europe).

...of course you are going to want jackets with the vinyl- (sorry, its early in the morning here) but even if you totally trick it out with a 180g pressing, color, etc its still likely only ~$8/9 per unit, and you could do the entire project cheaper than the cost to put up a billboard. Just consider it... all i ask...
      • DContaminateon July 15 2011, 6:28amReply
C'mon guys: reconsider vinyl. You can do a small 200/300 unit pressings nowadays very cheaply, maybe ~$3-4 per unit, or slightly more depending on if you include lyric sheets or do picsleeves for the record. Surely you'll recoup that?

LA Noire OST is great and better than RDR 2010 IMO.

@WolfRogers No plans for a vinyl version of the L.A. Noire Official Soundtrack either.

Any plans for a Vinyl version? I feel this games soundtrack would really benefit from it just like RDR's did, and whoever you guys used for the RDR Vinyl did a brilliant job with the print quality and detail

I will be ordering this momentarily. Is there any plan to release the L.A. Noire remixes cd in the warehouse. I would love to have physical copies of both.

Bought the RDR soundtrack, as it made train rides to work more wild and western :p
Not sure how a LA Noire soundtrack would fit into my life but might check out a couple of tracks.

Kinda on-topic (but kinda off topic): Can you guys patch in a 'skip cutscene' feature so replaying cases aren't a big pain the a$$?
