Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition Xbox 360 Official Social Club Multiplayer Event (July 7, 5-8 PM Eastern)

Posted on July 7 2011, 8:00pm | Author: R* Y | Filed Under: Social Club, Games

The event has ended. Thanks to everyone that joined us in the chat and on the stream.

We're setting off the brand new summer calendar of multiplayer events with an afternoon of Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition on Xbox LIVE tomorrow Thursday July 7th.

The latest in our Social Club Multiplayer Events Series will run from 5-8PM Eastern - your chance to menace the streets of Liberty City with four of us here at Rockstar.

We'll begin in Grand Theft Auto IV and later switch over to The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. Keep up with the modes we're playing in the chat. You'll be able to play with us no matter what version of the game or episodes you use.

Join us for a live chat, video stream and 20 Rockstar prize pack giveaways (t-shirt, stickers) on the Social Club Multiplayer Events page. See below for details on how to play with us...

We'll begin the event in original Grand Theft Auto IV multiplayer. To join, start the in-game Party Mode using the in-game cellphone. Make sure that your in-game Party Mode team size is at least two people for the first round of play. Once ready, head to the chat to find out the mode we're beginning with, and you will be automatically placed in special lobbies together with Rockstar and other event participants. More info on using Party Mode is listed below.

As the event progresses, we'll be playing more multiplayer modes in Grand Theft Auto IV and the two episodes.

Hit up the chatbox during the event or just post your Xbox LIVE Gamertag in the Comments section below.

Participating Xbox LIVE Rockstar Games Gamertags for the event will be:

  • GwRockstar3
  • GwRockstar4
  • GwRockstar5
  • GwRockstar6

Only add one Gamertag to your friends list to play.

Grand Theft Auto IV's in-game Party Mode is an easy way to get your group together and find matches. Here are the three quick and easy steps to get you up and running:

  1. Save your current game. To get started, fire up the in-game mobile phone by pressing "Up" on the D-pad.  Select Multiplayer > Party Mode > Yes.
  2. From here, open up your phone again and select the Friends option to invite your friends (you need at least one friend to play with Rockstar).
  3. Once your team is ready to roll, open up the in-game phone again and select Ranked > Team Deathmatch for this event. Follow us in the chat to find out the modes we're playing.

Can't jump in and play? You can still follow the event at the Social Club Multiplayer Events page. As usual, we'll have a live streaming video broadcast of the in-game matches plus a chat box so you can discuss the stream with others. Look below for specific directions you can follow to get online, grab a partner, and jump into the fray.

We will be giving instructions and updates in the chat box as the afternoon rolls on. See you there, and again be sure to check out the brand new July - September 2011 calendar of events so you can plan out your summer of multiplayer...

The games of GTA are pretty cool but on thing ive notice is that they dont have alot of options on different things, like cars, clothes, guns, style of the player, stores etc... all am trying too say its why put so many stores and things that you can not used? thats my opinion oh and it would be soo cool too "create" the player instead of having too deal with just one player during the entire story. just my opion :)

@GtaRightHandMan, I think they are foucusing on L.A. Noire and RDRedemption DLC, plus Max Payne 3 and (please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE!) in GTA V. But you're right, it'd be nice some new DLC for singleplayer and multiplayer (and connection between the online modes of GTA IV, GTA TLaD and GTA TBoGT). New clothes for Niko and more customization for the multiplayer characters is all I am asking...

                        ~GTA V pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!!!!~ :D

R* - I know IV is an older title now, but PLEASE give us some more GTA IV DLC! It's great that RDR is getting a new DLC pack soon and I hope that with the commotion it has caused, that you consider more DLC for your titles. People love DLC. I know I do. It's a great way to keep these older games alive, which isn't a bad thing; you get more enjoyment out of already fantastic titles. But I'd love to get something, even if it's just more cars, weapons, outfits I would be happy. More missions, side quests, mini games would be nice too see. Something for both multiplayer and single player. Really just some new GTA IV DLC would be great, free or not. I'd gladly take some nice pay DLC. Come on, give all us faithful IV fans a treat!

@Genesicity Thanks for the love and support. We just did a GTA PSN streaming event about a month ago, we try to make sure we mix it up so that each platform gets a good turn. So following yesterday's GTA XBL event, we've got PC lined up next in the calendar. Rest assured we'll do a PSN one though in the fall. Otherwise, make sure you're following us on FB or Twitter and we'll jump on for an unscheduled session at some point soon - promise.

Rockstar i will put together a portfolio that shows my strongest environment art.
I will be submitting it soon sometimes this year i want to go one and get in into all the studios because i need to know what areas i need to improve in. Luckily i contacted my old Visual arts teacher Mr brown is teaching me all the basics and advancements in 3ds max and I thank him for that.
But he said even though hes helping me i still need gain experience in the arts of institution as he said.

Also Rockstar i have some words from Mr brown he says he has played GTA San and he wants to tell you that he loved the graffiti art and how you guys put all the land marks in the game.hes a casual fan of the GTA series. but he says GTA San is a well crafted game.

I'm still learning here i have to grow as you guys said. I have my passion for you guys.
