New L.A. Noire Title Update (2.00)

A new automatic title update for L.A. Noire is now available for download on both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. You'll be prompted to download the title update as soon as you sign into the PlayStation Network or Xbox LIVE.

Noteworthy changes and fixes include:

  • Implemented a handful of physics changes to prevent floating, falling and traveling outside the map
  • Improved crash handling
  • Fixed an issue where a clean installation interrupted by a Title Update would still show a "game data is corrupt and is being repaired" message (PS3 only)
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from getting beyond Rank 19 in certain instances
  • Fixed an issue where case objectives might not appear in the notebook after replaying cases

    How come when I launch the PS3 version, it doesn't prompt me to update the Game? I only have Version 1.01.

      Tell me when will fix the problem with notebooks with two graphics cards? The game runs on the graphics card and Intel does not want to run on Nvidia. I am very very angry when this happened and start to think back to the game store and pick up the money if the problem is resolved and greatly saddens then that the last game very badly with importing consoles.

                Well Rockstar games you dit it again, a great game i just finish getting the 5 star rating in all cases and i really enjoy it.
                After patch 2.00 i was like "ok the fix some issues" but you close the posibilites to get out of map, and that was a really cool thing to do because it going out of the map you fell like you are breaking the rules and that a thing that some players enjoy. well thats was somenthing off my chess.

                O and a really enjoy to the DLC

                And i have a minor issue whe re-playing the homicide case "the quarter moon murders" when i go to the fountain i the cutscene the botton water in the fountain it turns to a unrealistic blue color and then its turns again to normal.

                I hope that like in agust, september that a new DLC will come soon and that new games like gta or somenthing use these face capture un future games

                  I have hit a freezing problem during the fallen idol case which I managed to get past after 8 resets. However I now have a constant freeze on the start of the red lipstick case when I get in the car to drive to the case. Has happened 10 times now. All other games work perfectly on my machine (except GTAIV which I had to stop playing because it kept freezing..?!?) Any word on when we might get an (other) update to resolve this issue as it's a great game and I really want to keep playing!!! cheers.

                    Thanks Rockstar for spoiling Noire even further by fun-policing off our access in our payed for game to areas outside the map. It was actually nice for a change to load up the game and explore how games like this are put together and to actually have some fun with the thing instead of examining umpteen cigarette butts and stupid Los Diabolos tequila bottles, but you had to go and ruin it for us didn't you.Well, why? I expect this sort of fun-kill behaviour out of EA or that male rooster Kotick, not Rockstar. Seems things have changed. It's back to LA YAAAAWN again now...(

                      Why do you have to stop us from being able to travel outside the map?
                      Dont you realise how much we enjoy it?
                      I was heartbroken when i found out about a glitch to escape the map in RDR and then discovered it had been patched!
                      When you escape the game map it is like exploring a differant game - just in the same game.
                      please let us be able to escape the map if you do another title with a world surrounded by land.

                          i think rockstar games should do an update to bring detective colunbo into l.a noire to show what a great man peter falk was he sadly past away a few days ago if there was a case to crack he could crack it

                            i think so many gamers have FPS SLow down problem you can google it.
                            I understand the mass content of the game and detail, but it's just a little annoying for a ROCKSTARGAMES title..i also reguested on rockstar support website.

                              Anyone else having random FPS slowdown issue in L.A. Noire? Random FPS slowdown issue has happened so many times for me on my ps3. i think rockstar must release a patch for this issue.

                                    R* i just updated version 2.00 and still on the Vice Case Manifest Destiny during cut scenes thier will be machine gun rounds fire in the background when they shouldnt be or the game will freeze and their is one part were Cole and Earl take kelso in to the police station and while they do so thier is just pictures of a millions coles plz help it only does this for this case

                                          Hi R*, own the xbox version of LA Noire, also own the R* pass, checked in game download catalog and saw that the new dlc Nicholson Electroplating case was available to get. It clearly says Owned - Get Content, when I try to download it I get a xbox live message saying "Can't purchase these items. Please try again later." followed by Status code: 80150101.... Help
