Two days ago, July 7, Japanese version of LA Noire was released in Japan then I planned to enjoy playing it this weekend. However, I am tossed up and down by the storm of freezing and crushing though I upgraded firmware of PS3 to 3.66 and patched 1.01. My lovely Phelps could not read even the first newspaper because the game automatically turned off PS3 before he went into an alleyway. Of course, I had tried all what Rockstar said to fix the troubles but My efforts were wasted and failed to show any improvement in them. Then I hope to haul Phelps' ashes though he was sent to investigate cases from Amazon PD all the way.

I don't about all of you but I played through it all and platinumed it without a single, crash or apparent bug. This may very well be the only Rockstar game I've played that I can say that about. So for those reading these comments and are thinking to not get the game based on them, I wouldn't cheat myself out of great game.

Dammit, I can not play, the game crashes all the time, and I've tested with two different Blu-Rays on my PS3 (40 GB or 60, do not remember it.) PS: Sorry for my English. And Rockstar launch games with subtitles in Portuguese of Brazil, Please. I'm disgusted with these freezes, now if you just buy another legand in Portuguese. For those who do not know a game here costs R$ 200.00, or $ 125.00.

Stat tracking/syncing is still bugged, after replaying some of the cases my stats have been blanked. This issue makes it incredibly hard to see where clues need to be found, questions that need to be asked or fixed.

Thanks R*.....for releasing an unfinished product. Very kind of you. I was really looking forward to starting up the game and seeing jaggy moving shadows, stuttering cars, and jittery day time frames per second. This kind of unfinished product are what dreams are made of. I really wish my dreams were as skippy, and jittery as this game is. One can only wish though.

Thanks again R*. You did a great job. Fulfilled all my expectations. I LOVE playing unfinished betas that I pay full price for. Its awesome!

                    Thanks for the update.

Any chance that you're going to add / improve anti-aliasing in L.A. Noire? It's really bad, especially in daylight + outside areas.

I've had instances in the game where a character would say his lines, but no audio could be heard. How I know he was supposed to say something? I had subtitles on. This happened to me a few times, in maybe three, four in-game cutscenes. Most prominently during the meeting between Cohen, Kelso and Sheldon in the alley (newspaper cover story; found in the Ramez warehouse). The very first time I let this cutscene play, I thought Sheldon was a ventriloquist, when in fact, Kelso was talking. What made it even more odd was the fact that Kelso could not be seen - he had become invisible. All you could make out of him during the cutscene was his hat (!!).

However, when I played the case again, Kelso did show up and his lines worked perfectly fine.

As for freezing, I consider myself lucky it only happened once - during the very last cutscene, right before the credits.

And the partners assigned to Phelps don't always act or react intelligently enough. I've had Bekowsky with me once and upon getting out of the car in a side alley, he climbed on top of a bush and stayed there without moving, until I drove into it, which prompted him to move back to the car.

L.A. Noire lived up to all my expectations and much more. It is so amazing. It;s one of those rare games where it is equally as fun to play again (the cases). Red Dead Redemption is still my favorite Rockstar Game of all time, though.

Lovely game but could you release more, lots more cases in the future because its brilliant! I love the mind thinking plots in the game itself. They have seem to done away with that mostly now. Thanks again R* looking foward to more DLC for L.A NOIRE in the future. When will the DLC for the pre-order bonuses come out because i only have the naked city case(great case!) Thanks! Please Reply!
