Of course R* have some demos!
for example Max Payne 2 but R* hadn't release a demo for the PS Store that's right!
Another thing a demo does is give those of us excited for the game a taste of it before we get it. I played the Splinter Cell Conviction demo so many times I was able to complete it in 3 minutes (not including the cutscenes and the interrogation sequence) I think I spent like over 200 hours on that demo before the game came out.
