As we hurtle towards 2011 and the Spring release of our upcoming crime thriller L.A. Noire, please enjoy these noir-inspired treatments of the Rockstar logo and namesake - a special new Rockstar Desktops series called "Light and Shadow".

Check out all 6 designs below, available as downloadable desktop wallpapers (including mobile sizes), backgrounds, avatars and buddy icons from the Downloads section.

Plus, look for a special Light & Shadow themed screensaver as well, to be released early in the New Year.

Yesterday I was like, watching Hellraiser 3 with the cenobites and I was like, f**k this is awesome, it totally reminds me of manhunt, but you like, made it into a videogame, thats even cooler than Hellraiser... then I was like, f***k mind blown...

Which reminded me of just how much I dig R* games.

Very nice but oooh, Number 5 would be brilliant if it was available in other Rockstar colours, such as a Yellow light for NYC, Blue for North, etc, spread it out to around 8 or 9 extras wallpapers then so those of us with dynamic backgrounds can set them to that and just have the Rockstar logo shine a different colour every few minutes.
