L.A. Noire is a dark and violent detective thriller set against the backdrop of Los Angeles in the post-war years of the late 1940's, where you'll take the reins of newly minted detective Cole Phelps as he solves gruesome and mind-bending cases, interrogates suspects, and rises through the ranks of the LAPD.

Today's video "The Technology Behind Performance" showcases how L.A. Noire will utilize the brand new MotionScan technology, which provides an unprecedented level of realism, detail, and emotion never seen before in a videogame, bringing characters to life in a totally new way.

@batik89,i don`t yet know that can we take of the hats,but i am 70% sure that we can take of hats cause while fighting sometimes hats could come-off so it may be possible to take of the hats.:D

looks amazing. if this tech is used for gta then wow. we could be in for one intense violent and griping games ever made. if you can relate to the people being real then its going to suck you right into their world.

Just curious, can we swap and remove Phelps' hat? I'd prefer if he's not wearing any hats, his (Aaron Staton) hair already awesome. Please give us ability whether to use hats or not. Thanks.

@Darkbogdanel Yes, indeed that is the truth. However, many people do not own a PC that is capable of gaming (medium game settings), they own casual PC instead. Console in this generation is ONLY "POWERFUL" with the wide selections of game catalog.Technology wise, PC is still the leader. PC Gaming is A LITTLE expensive when compared to Console Gaming .But, many people who enjoys the latest technology will still buy the PC instead of the console while the others will just get the console as for them, PC is complicated.
