New Details on Red Dead Redemption's Undead Nightmare
![]()
On October 26th, the Undead Nightmare will be unleashed upon the world of Red Dead Redemption, with an entirely new single-player storyline, as well as brand new multiplayer content.
Seemingly overnight, a zombie plague ravages the once bountiful frontier, decimating the landscape and reawakening the dead. In towns, settlements, and outposts throughout the world, the uninfected citizens are left to fight for survival against waves of the undead. John Marston must ride out into the vast and terrifying world and survive long enough to find a cure.
With four unique zombie classes - each with their own characteristics, plus new infected predatory animals roaming the countryside, and non-traditional weaponry like the Blunderbuss - which can be loaded with looted remains of fallen zombies, the Undead Nightmare Pack offers an entirely original gameplay experience for fans of Red Dead Redemption. Additionally, the deadly Tomahawk and the Explosive Rifle make a triumphant comeback and will be available exclusively for those who downloaded the Legends and Killers Pack and the Liars and Cheats Pack.
The all new single-player narrative features new challenges, quests, and ambient events, including Missing Persons, where the player must find a missing survivor lost amongst the throngs of undead. This new release also brings new content to Multiplayer, with Undead Overrun, a brand new multiplayer survival mode where waves of infected enemies attack and players must work together to stay alive against increasingly difficult odds.
The Undead Nightmare Pack will be available for download from Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points) and PlayStation Network ($9.99) and requires a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play. Also coming soon, Undead Nightmare, a single, stand-alone disc that bundles together for the first time ever, the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, the Legends and Killers Pack, the Liars and Cheats Pack and all the Multiplayer Free Roam modes released to date. Undead Nightmare will be available at retail stores everywhere for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 and does not require a copy of Red Dead Redemption to play.

But there is just one question which I kinda cant work out.
Does the disc version also have the original game on it, the original non zombie one i mean.
Because otherwise, how do you use the extra dlc (outlaws to the end etc.) if the original quest is on a separate disc. I dont see how this works if the original game isnt on this new disc. Any answers would be very grateful.
Thank you
The idea to have companions with you would be great, so john isn't alone in the zombie plague while travelling across the frontier. We could really get the idea of posse's (an element of the game we haven't seen yet in singleplayer). You've been doing this this in GTA 4 and in TLAD so if you could add this feature it would be appreciated by many fans.
Keep up the good work...
Consider the concept.
that being said I got a few questions
1) Will weapons like the blunderbuss carry over to the normal singleplayer campain?
2) Will there be more DLC's or cheats such as low gravity or super punch in the future?
3) Is it possible to add a hanging mechanic for lassoed people? Quite a few people have been thinking about this.
4) will there be other mythological creatures other than the horses of the apocalypse?
Can't wait for OCT 26, its worth every penny
Just like Cops 'n' Crooks, but in this one Marshals chase a criminal boss or Mexican Army chases rebels' boss.
Marshals/Mexican Army has to kill the boss to win, and the criminals/rebels win if their boss gets on the getaway vechile (train or raft) and then stays alive on it and crosses the border. People can respawn.
Then another one like this, but now at least half of the criminals/rebels have to get across the border with the getaway vechile. No respawns.
