Now in its 27th year, the UK's long-running Golden Joystick Awards concluded today, with gamers from across the United Kingdom weighing in on their favorite games of 2009. We're proud to announce that Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for Nintendo DS won the Golden Joystick for Bliss Handheld Game of The Year.

Now that Chinatown Wars and The Ballad of Gay Tony have launched on the PSP and Xbox 360 respectively and are going strong, I hope we will start hearing more news about Chinatown Wars for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Regardless of what people might say about the iPhone and iPod Touch being serious gaming platforms, they are the most convenient gaming devices for me and I'm sure others, since people are most likely to have their phone or mp3 player on them. What's more Chinatown Wars on iPhone and iPod Touch could definitely be the definitive version by combining the touch gameplay of the DS with the better graphics of the PSP, especially on the 3rd gen models capable of shaders. Of course, this assumes the controls work well. Still, I'm confident if anyone can figure it out it'd be Rockstar, along with offering the quality, content, and value to reverse the downward pressure on App Store prices.
