 Peking Duck Hunt

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, one of the highest-rated handheld games of all time, has arrived today for PSP(PlayStation®Portable) system and is fully supported over at the Rockstar Games Social Club.  The PSP release is fully compatible with all of the Chinatown Wars features at the Social Club and we have also added a few all-new features for new and old fans alike.

The Social Club adds brand new  features in Peking Duck Hunt and the Chinatown Wars Guide Map to our collection that includes in-depth stat tracking, Guardian Lions, and Mr. Wong's Laundry.

Like Mr. Wong's Laundry before it, Peking Duck Hunt is an arcade-style website mini-game that gives you another avenue to earn in-game cash and other rewards.  The Chinatown Wars Guide Map has its own unique unlockable reward for those dedicated enough to explore every last inch of Liberty City.  Finally, we have also updated the Chinatown Wars Downloads section at Social Club to include a range of new papercraft models to print, cut, fold and create.

Here’s a bit more detail on each feature...

Peking Duck Hunt

A new mini-game, Peking Duck Hunt, helps you earn even more in-game money and a chance to unlock the Bulletproof Patriot for purchase at the Chinatown Wars in-game auto merchant.  In Peking Duck Hunt, you have been invited to work as an assistant chef at the Sum Yung Gai restaurant.  Chop up ingredients to fill and then roll as many moo shu pancakes as possible before time runs out and you are booted from the kitchen. Peking Duck Hunt also features top-50 and friends-specific leaderboards so you can prove your mettle as a top chef.

Chinatown Wars Guide Map

To help discover all that Liberty City has to offer, we present the Chinatown Wars Guide Map.  The Guide Map shows pinpoint locations of every last Drug Dealer, Security Camera, Rampage, and Stunt Jump in town.  As an added layer of competition, a friend comparison tool is also available so you can show your friends where you stand in your accomplishments.

Take note that destroying all of the Security Cameras around town with the help of the Social Club Guide Map will grant you access to a special unlock that will make your time in Liberty City a lot more profitable.

Downloads

The Chinatown Wars Downloads section has been updated to include all-new papercraft models ripped straight from Liberty City.  Some new additions include busts of Ling and Uncle Kenny, cartoon-sized reproductions of the in-game weapons, and various vehicles like the Stallion, Infernus, and Noodle Van.

Note that to take full advantage of all the features at the Social Club, you will need to sync your PSP (or DS) Chinatown Wars save game to the site:

Sync'ing with the Social Club:

Sync'ing is extremely easy with the PSP.  First, you will need an active Wi-Fi connection available.  To sync, enter the pause menu by pressing "START" and then scroll to the “Personal” menu item on the right.  Enter the stats section and then press the square button.  Select the last menu option labeled “Upload Statistics”, at which point you will be prompted to enter a valid Social Club username/password.  Once the upload is complete, the Social Club will receive your stats plus grant you any unlocks you may have earned.

If you haven’t yet registered at Rockstar Social Club – get on it!

As always, props to R*, I take my hat off to you.

Kind of wish that TBoGT/EFLC had more priority though, but I guess it's Sony after all.

Excellent work with the double Wayne's World references (1st one being the Rhapsody).

I think the 'Pink Fruit Laptop' bit and 'Synch Stats' is maybe what you're after ...

____

Claiming Your Money and Prizes from Sum Yung Gai:
Your piggy bank (shown in the bottom left hand corner of the Duck Hunt game screen) holds your money and vehicles accumulated in the Duck Hunt game. To retrieve your rewards from the piggy bank you must have first linked your Nintendo DS(TM) Friend Code and sync'ed your save game or have sync'ed your PSP stats with your Social Club account.

Once you have successfully linked your account with the Social Club, all you need to do to receive your rewards from Sum Yung Gai is sync your Grand Theft Auto: China Town Wars’ game save with the Social Club. To do this, visit any safe house and click on your “Pink Fruit Laptop”. Once in the “Pink Fruit Laptop” screen you will see an option to “Sync Stats” which requires a valid Wi-Fi connection. Any money and or prizes that you had accumulated in your piggy bank will be zero’ed out on the Social Club and added to your game save during the sync process.

IMPORTANT: As soon as your sync is complete with the Social Club, please make sure to save your game. If you have retrieved money and/or a prize but do not save your game, they will be unrecoverable if your Nintendo DS(TM) or PSP loses power or you reload your save game. Users can only accumulate up to $10,000 dollars within a 24 hour period from Sum Yung Gai. Once this limit is reached, a user will no longer earn money that can be pushed back to your console for that day but will still be able to submit high scores to the leaderboard.

I'm not getting the Bulletproof Patriot reward. This is very strange especially since I'm getting the money from the game. I checked the auto merchant. It says "Currently Unavailable".

... I want a bulletproof patriot :(
Purduecoz says:
Rockstar - synching is broken! I get the money, but the Patriot just stays in the piggy bank and doesn't unlock in-game!
Golombki says:
Is the Patriot at a specific location? I thought maybe it would just appear in the garage but I have no idea where to find it.. what a come on..
Purduecoz says:
Once you've won the Bulletproof Patriot in the Peking Duck Hunt game online, syncing your game is supposed to open it up at the auto dealer.... except it doesn't open up!
WolfRogers says:
Nice games, playing CTW on my PSP but there seems to be a problem with the games, they don't work in Opera 10, they work fine in Internet Explorer but whenever I try it in Opera I get the message "There was a problem starting the game" and it just circles back and forth.
