Beaterator for PSP continues to impress critics with its power, portability and ease of use - here's a roundup of the latest reviews in this week:
In London, the Daily Telegraph gave Beaterator a perfect 10/10: "Whether you're an amateur or seasoned songsmith who wants to create music on the fly, Beaterator offers a ton of options and a wealth of music-making potential. For our money, it's the best portable eight-track available and one of the best reasons to put your PSP in your bag before the commute to work."
MSNBC's Citizen Gamer was impressed: "All in all, I found Beaterator absolutely absorbing. Layering track upon track, building drumbeats and various instrumental sounds, crafting my own songs and hearing them played back — for someone who’s never done anything like this before, it was a thrilling and eye-opening experience."
Eurogamer marked Beaterator as " A rare triumph, a piece of sober software whose unusual ambitions are just about matched by its hardware's capabilities."
Pocketgamer scored Beaterator 8/10, calling it "An amazingly well featured music making package for your PSP... for those looking to take their first steps into music production it's a fantastic place to start."
Edge Online noted, "To any fan of Grand Theft Auto’s soundtracks it will appear just a natural extension of its evident passion for music... Rockstar, through Chinatown Wars developer Rockstar Leeds, has channeled that enthusiasm (for music) into a small but powerful single package."
Playstation Insider scored Beaterator a 9.3 and says "I definitely recommend this game for all music fans, aspiring producers, and those in between out there."
And finally, in a four-out-of-four-stars review, Pushsquare reports "If you’re a beginner with an interest in music production or an experienced musician looking to compose on the go — you’ll be hard pushed to find a more complete package than Beaterator, " and followed up with a second feature outlining their experience making a track on the train ride to work: Listen to their handiwork below:
