International Online and Community Associate

Rockstar Games is looking for an Online and Community Associate to assist with online marketing and daily interaction with our global fan community via our own channels and social networks.
The Online and Community Executive will report directly to the International Online Producer and the International Community Manager, and assist them in their various responsibilities. As this role covers two separate, albeit closely related, disciplines, it will suit a good all-round marketer/community manager with excellent organization, communication and literacy skills.


  • Assisting with the production of online marketing creative and materials between Rockstar’s New York HQ, International (London) office and local territory teams.
  • Helping engage, support, cultivate and grow Rockstar’s international fan community across dedicated fan channels and social networks.
  • Creating, localizing and publishing online content ensuring absolute consistency of message and approach.
  • Working closely with territory teams to develop appropriate online advertising and promotional plans to drive sales across our portfolio of titles.

Community Management

  • Work with the International Community Manager in London and the Community Team based in New York to initiate and execute daily engagement with Rockstar Games’ fans around the world.
  • Moderate comments on the Rockstar Games website to ensure a healthy commenting environment for Rockstar Social Club members.
  • Generate regular content for the Rockstar Newswire and a constant flow of fresh ideas for both the Newswire and other channels where Rockstar Games has a presence.
  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to cultivate our community in key international territories including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan and Latin America
  • Relay community sentiment and feedback to the wider business and maintain a healthy dialogue with various company stakeholders, including the wider marketing teams, development studios, PR departments and other areas of Rockstar Games as necessary.

Online Marketing

  • Assist in the delivery of online marketing assets including but not limited to viral embeddable media, html email blasts and rich media advertising campaigns.
  • Assist in the successful trafficking and deployment of online campaigns upon approval of assets.
  • Collaborate with the International Rockstar offices to ensure that their online marketing requirements are fully supported.
  • Support all aspects of the development and maintenance of R* brand and product specific websites with regards to the International territories.
  • Provide input and feedback on all product-specific websites and related content. Ensure that these sites and related content are fully localized to meet our specified marketing objectives and drive sales.
  • Help produce local versions of the R* Propaganda email programme for the International territories, ensuring that local news and content are integrated where appropriate.
  • Contribute innovative/best practice ideas that will help Rockstar deliver progressive online materials.  


  • Solid experience (minimum 2 years) of and expertise in all aspects of digital / online marketing, including major social networks, with an excellent knowledge of the latest developments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with keen and careful messaging skills and the ability to be absolutely consistent with Rockstar’s tone of voice.
  • Passion for and expert knowledge of Rockstar Games and our titles.
  • Experience in managing large online communities/digital content in a fast-paced hi-tech or new media industry.
  • The ability to remain graceful under pressure while managing large workloads and meeting tight deadlines, and the flexibility to occasionally work antisocial hours in order to maintain constant community coverage.
  • Experience of working with Online Content Management Systems.
  • Familiarity, if not proficiency, with HTML, Abode Flash, Photoshop, CSS and other front-end web languages.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the agility of mind to work across a range of disciplines.
  • Must work well within a team but have the ability to think on their feet and work under their own initiative.
